  1. FLAG DAY, BITCHES! Timmeh will lead us up the mountain. Onward, to victory! http://media-2.web.britannica.com/eb-media/35/10735-004.jpg* *No pirates were injured in the creation of this post
  2. 'Tis my fault folks. At work today, I assured myself I'd have ample time for the GT. Of course, I neglected to remember that I am married, so upon my arrival home, where I found out my evening had been planned for me without my knowledge, I quickly realized I would have no time for the GT and there was nothing I could do about it. May the gods of vanilla, boring, yet pleasant mojo forgive me.
  3. No, you obviously don't get it, Kilo. He's not allowed to have an opinion about his observation while attending a basketball game. That is valuable time he could have been focussing his mental power on making his shoulder better. And besides, what the heck is he doing at a basketball game in the first place? People who are recovering from injury should spend every waking moment (I grudingly admit they must be allowed to sleep - the body does need it afterall) either in rehab or deep meditation to heal. I think that is what he did in '04 to come back so quickly after getting hurt in Anaheim. Then, after they won it, he got all complacent and took the whole offseason and half of '05 to recover from the surgery. What a slacker. It's all about the focus, baby.
  4. Wow. Oh, and Pau Gasol is making Nowitski look like Rick Mahorn. Talk about soft.
  5. Interesting Phillies / Marlins game tonight.
  6. He's unconscious right now.
  7. I was thinking it's more like... http://a.1asphost.com/donatelo/unfanim.gif

  9. You too, Hernandez. Your time to be good was so 5 years ago.
  10. f*** off, Huff, you can resume your normal suck at any moment now.
  11. Dearest Jeremy, Eat s***! Regards, Mike Lowell
  12. Why the f*** is he bunting? Have him take a couple and send the guy who's only be caught once.
  13. This whole not walking people thing from Lester seems to be paying off. I recommend he continue it.
  14. Things that occur to me immediately upon hearing their names... Lester: Beat cancer, won WS clincher, no-hitter, highest gonad to body weight ratio in recorded history Guthrie: Arlo?, first name - Jeremy - sounds like it should be an ingredient of schmegma http://www.piratemerch.com/images/jollyroger.gif Hoist the main sail!!
  15. Vertigo reminds me of this kid I served in the Corps with. Every time we boarded ship for a trip somewhere, he'd turn green with seasickness for 2 days. Every single time. The funny part was this, after about 2 weeks at sea, you are totally used to the constant motion. Well, when we hit port, we'd get off the ship and, I s*** you not, the motionless terra firma felt like it was moving (because you are so used to the motion). Then he'd be sick for two days on flat ground. Cracked me up.
  16. That's what ERA+ does, rician. ERA+ is.... (League Average ERA / Pitcher's ERA) x 100 The league average ERA is adjusted to account for the pitcher's home park. The better the pitcher's ERA, the higher his ERA+. Pedro has the best ERA+ of all time among qualified pitchers - Rivera will qualify soon and take the lead.
  17. Ok, I take that back if you are going to have the split fall off the table.
  18. He's late. Don't mess with the split, come inside and blow him away.
  19. Can he? Yes, but that would require another f*** up by the manager allowing him to do so.
  20. It's great, isn't it?
  21. Glad to please. I'll take another 94 games like this one.
