  1. Hunter probably played his last game of 08
  2. 2007 Playoffs' Ellsbury is here in 08!! 5-1 baby
  3. whoa Hunter is hurt. This could be it for Anaheim
  4. cmon Dice work yourself out of this!!
  5. f***ing Bay!!! Good to see Drew get an RBI. Dice getting that needed early lead was just what the doctor ordered Sox pitchers have retired 12 straight batters leading off an inning, very telling
  6. Hopefully its doesnt have anything to do with Lowrie's error in game 1 as well. Cmon Cora put my doubts to the test tonight
  7. Im watching the World Series dvds, oh my god I am so psyched!!! EDIT:
  8. It could still apply, because even the Sox will be good with Beckett and (if need) Lester at Fenway Park Hoping its game 3 tho!! I just scored 1st base grand stand seats, my first playoff game. Closest thing Ive been to a playoff game was the last game of the 05 season, clinching the wild card
  9. I was figuring that, especially with him slapping his hip during an AB. Id imagine they will now move Youk to 3rd, Kotsay at 1st with his good #s against Santana
  10. Despite Crawford not facing live pitching since August 7, he'll bat 5th. Percival has been left off the roster in favor of the rookie stalwart David Price
  11. One year he was speedy yes... but last night he looked like he was on his last legs. Once I saw him hobbling to 3rd base, I knew he was meat
  12. The Angels backs are already up against the wall, get the nails out to start pinning them there!! Jeff Mathis will be catching Ervin Santana tomorrow Matsuzaka on the road in 13 games, 9-0 with a 2.37 ERA Santana last season vs Boston in 2 games, 0-1 with a 5.23 ERA. This season at home in 15 games, 5-5 with a 4.03 ERA
  13. Woo f***ing hoo!!!!!!!!!! Jason Bay with the crushing blow Lester going 7 strong. He had the look of Beckett especially in the bottom of the 6th (after the HR), striking out the side in order. Just for kicks, Papelbon ends the game by striking out the order. God I love this team Ellsbury has brought his hot bat & sterling D into October Haha to Vladdy Up next, Dice vs Santana!!
  14. http://www.whatifsports.com/beyondtheboxscore/default.asp?article=2008MLB_Playoffs whatifsports.com sees the Sox upsetting the Angels in 4 games
  15. Def feeling the same, Cubs vs Phillies in NLCS
  16. Lets do it again!!! **Lester this season vs Anaheim in 2 games, 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA. **On the road in 17 games, 6-5 with a 3.82 ERA **Lackey this season vs Boston in 3 games, 2-1 with a 2.84 ERA. **At home in 13 games, 5-4 with a 4.17 ERA
  17. Jacko, if Joba is going to stay in the bullpen, why will he just be a set up man to Melancon? A lights out established reliever with his blazing fastball would be racking up saves as they come
  18. This was posted when they were 61-47 Sweet deal, I guess what their record would be
  19. Game 1- Jon Lester vs John Lackey Game 2- Daisuke Matsuzaka vs Ervin Santana Game 3- Josh Beckett vs Joe Saunders *Game 4- Jon Lester vs John Lackey *Game 5- Daisuke Matsuzaka vs Ervin Santana Still feeling confident that theyll get this done, not as easy as last year of course
  20. Great to see Van Every to get a game winning hit, last game of the season and against the Yankees. Wakefield's good start gave him a nudge to being the 4th starter in the playoffs, if they need one. Aardsma with his bad September has pitched himself off the playoff roster entirely I imagine
