  1. Heidi Watney, damn, well she just reported that Hideki Okajima's option has just been picked up Burnett this season vs Boston in 2 games, 1-0 with a 3.07 ERA. At Fenway Park in 1 game, 1-0 with an 0.00 ERA. On the road in 16 games, 7-7 with a 3.86 ERA Byrd this season vs Toronto in 3 games, 2-1 with a 4.03 ERA. At Fenway Park in 2 games, 1-1 with a 5.02 ERA
  2. Solid game by Wake, knew the game in Texas wasnt something to be worried about. Offense is clicking. Lowrie, Papi, and Kevin Cash! I def have to give props to Toronto. They arent mailing it in until theyre officially eliminated. Putting Halladay, Burnett and Litsch all on 3 days rest really shows that. Next year theyll help the East remain the toughest division in baseball Purcey on the road this season in 5 games, 1-4 with a 5.34 ERA Wakefield this season vs Toronto in 3 games, 1-1 with a 2.57 ERA. At home in 12 games, 6-4 with a 3.08 ERA
  3. Lovely showing... losing 2 out of 3 At Home Piss poor offense tonight, number of chances they had and they just managed 2 runs?? Psst Theo, yea just let Timlin retire this offseason
  4. What a solid season this has been for Lester! Bay continues to march to 30 HRs/100+ RBIs, and Papelbon looks as dominant as ever Posting the matchups for tonight now as Ill be out doing errands before I head on over to work. Lets make the night a good one, first place baby Kazmir this season vs Boston in 2 games, 0-1 with a 7.00 ERA. At Fenway Park in 1 game, 0-1 with a 6.75 ERA. On the road in 11 games, 4-5 with a 3.96 ERA Matsuzaka this season vs Tampa Bay in 1 game, 1.80 ERA. At home in 14 games, 9-2 with a 3.05 ERA
  5. Im leaving for work now, just wanted to post the batter vs pitcher matchups. Lets go Sox! Turn the deficit into a lead Jackson this season vs Boston in 3 games, 0-2 with a 6.19 ERA. At Fenway Park in 2 games, 0-2 with a 10.00 ERA. On the road in 13 games, 6-3 with a 3.26 ERA Lester this season vs Tampa Bay in 2 games, 2-0 with a 1.46 ERA. At home in 14 games, 8-1 with a 2.87 ERA
  6. Damn even in Pittsburgh he doesnt seem he has the cajones to pitch in the late innings
  7. Very crushing blow to see Brady fall to the ground, grabbing his knee, and screaming out in pain. All I can do is cheer the team on and just be optimistic. I heard the Pats are bringing in Tim Rattay and Chris Simms. I like Simms' style and it probably shouldnt take long for him to take over duties from Cassel Cassel no doubt had a good game while subbing for Brady. But they were facing the Chiefs who have 15 rookies on their roster and one of the worst secondaries in the NFL. He is what he is, a backup
  8. Blah he has Vazquez on 0-2, 4 straight balls to load it up for Young
  9. What a defensive stand!!
  10. What a f***up by the Patriots secondary
  11. leaping catch by Bowe for a TD, 14-10 Kansas City is converting too easily on 3rd downs, now at 8 of 14 EDIT: Hell yea, Hobbs has a 47 yard punt return
  12. Byrd last season vs Texas in 3 games, 2-0 with a 4.24 ERA. Last season at Rangers Ballpark in 1 game, 1-0 with a 3.18 ERA. This season on the road in 17 games, 7-8 with a 5.06 ERA McCarthy last season vs Boston in 2 games, 0-1 with a 12.71 ERA. This season at home in 3 games, 1-1 with a 5.28 ERA
  13. Jets have a good chance as any to take the divsion if Cassel is the starter for the majority of the season. Hell they will be a no brainer EDIT: Wow as I speak he does a hell of a fake and makes what is possibly the best throw he's ever made
  14. Um Jerry there was 9 straight runners to reach base, more than enough time for any manager to see it wasnt his pitcher's night
  15. This is his worst start in quite awhile and against Texas (especially in Arlington) he has had little to no luck
  16. 5 straight batters retired then proceeds to allow 9 straight baserunners until Tito finally pulls him. This is definitely a "memorable start". Easily made me forget about Demarlo Hale's brain fart Hey at least Smith knows how to get the 3rd out of the inning
  17. Ok now tonight lets see a dancing knuckler accompanied by run support... in the morning see a 1.5 deficit
  18. holy s*** Gregg Zaun with the walkoff slam!!
  19. Let the good times roll! This is Wakefield's 500th career appearance as Red Sox. The only pitcher who has more is Bob Stanley (637) Wakefield this season vs Texas in 1 game, 1-0 with a 5.63 ERA. On the road in 14 games, 3-5 with a 4.03 ERA
  20. Very optimistic showing by Beckett last night. On a limited pitch count against the Rangers, he threw 5 shutout innings while striking out 7. He didnt have as high velocity as used to seeing, but his location was dead on. What a game for Lowell to come back as well, HR/4 RBIs. The lineup just got even tougher, Lowell back with Cora on the bench. just wait till Drew comes back EDIT: Kudos to Pedroia for getting his 45th Double. It is the most ever in a single season by a 2nd baseman in franchise history
  21. Im loving the Yanks and Blue Jays right about now! Tampa has lost 3 out of their last 4, the deficit is 2.5 games with 2 days until they come up to Boston http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/boxscore;_ylt=ArywPjKlYQ3Btwg7m1cl5Q8RvLYF?gid=280905101 a game between oakland and baltimore is moot but just had to point this out... and have a good chuckle. The A's beat Baltimore last night 11-2 including an 8 run 8th. 5 of the runs came from bases loaded walks! 10 Walks in all for the game by Orioles pitching, Oakland had less hits (76)
  22. Odd that Tito didnt keep Pedroia in the 4 hole with Youk still out
  23. What a blow to the White Sox's chances, better for the Twins. Well Pedroia def gets a push with Quentin out for the season and Hamilton hurting
  24. Mike Lowell will be in tonights lineup, Youk is almost a sure bet to be back and Casey could be activated off the DL Beckett last season vs Texas in 1 game, 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA. This season on the road in 13 games, 6-5 with a 3.17 ERA Millwood this season vs Boston in 1 game, 3.00 ERA. At home in 10 games, 5-2 with a 4.98 ERA
