  1. Last I heard theyre content with Cabrera at 1st and Inge going back to 3rd base.
  2. The Detroit Tigers will move Carlos Guillen to left field this spring
  3. Paul Byrd is a free agent this offseason I believe
  4. If the price is right? He's line to match or exceed Johan's contract with the Mets I do see the Sox making a hard run at Burnett though
  5. 8 game winning streak up to this point for ALCS elimination games. If they pull off the comeback, theyre very much resembling the scary late 90's Yankees
  6. Now comes the true test for Tampa Tampa has a 7-0 lead, they are 9 outs away from securing first world series berth in franchise history... Their lights out bullpen gives up 4 in the 7th, 3 in the 8th, lose it in the 9th after getting the first 2 outs... A day off and plane trip to let it sink in even more... If Beckett pitches the way he can and the bats can get anything against Shields, Sox will have the clear cut advantage in game 7
  7. Woo f***ing hoo!! I get out at work at 1130 but stayed in the break room until I saw Drew's clutch hit sail over Gross' head What a demoralizing game for the Rays. How can you cough up a 7 run lead with 9 outs to go? Why was Wheeler left in?
  8. We will see, next 3 games take place in LA. Anything is possible in a 7 game series
  9. Nomar looked overmatched, 2-0 series lead for Philly... Its all for you Charlie On to Los Angeles
  10. Myers is the best hitting pitcher in this year's playoffs 6-2 lead, 3 RBIs from their pitcher
  11. 2 out rally by Philly puts them on top 2-1!! Myers connects with the 1st pitch for an RBI single to center field
  12. I was saying Fitzy is a representative becuase he is the only "fan" that is really showcased It is just my belief that how the Sox players have been tested since 04, that they might have an advantage in a long series. But untested teams (Marlins, twice) have proven otherwise I agree it will go up to 7 games
  13. Even more reason for me to root on the Phillies. Damn Manuel will still manage tonights game even with his mom's passing fresh in his mind **Billingsley this season vs Philadelphia in 2 games, 0-1 with a 12.22 ERA. **On the road in 20 games, 7-6 with a 3.80 ERA **Myers this season vs Los Angeles in 3 games, 1-1 with a 1.93 ERA. **At home in 16 games, 8-5 with a 2.99 ERA
  14. Im also surprised about Hinske not being in the ALCS
  15. I knew the Rays were going to take it easily, the White Sox were the weakest playoff team in the AL
  16. Hmmm... its only true if its already happened
  17. Zing! Huh, that just so happens to be what CBK said in every post
  18. ******** this team has no heart Papelbon, Lester, Pedroia, Ellsbury, Lowrie, Delcarmen.... those kids are doing it big for Boston on chump change 3 money players-- Manny, Lugo and Schilling arent even with the team ($38 million)
  19. The Angels were the favorites over the "banged up" Sox, best record in baseball with 100 wins plus they had homefield advantage
  20. Ill say it to CowbellKid, Ill say it again. The Angels were 8-1 against Boston in the regular season, 8 game winning streak until the ALDS!! And yes while the Rays won the season series, pretty much even at a 10-8 advantage. Rays batters in the season series held just a .233 avg
