Its a no-brainer to pick up his option Just a tidbit, next season he would be in line to pass Roger Clemens for tops in franchise history for starts and innings pitched

2 years/$3-5 per is the most they should consider. If the Sox dont trade for a catching prospect, Brown or Kottaras should take over the backup/platoon role. Both have experience at catching the knuckleball and have considerably more pop than Cash

Tough to take, especially when it went 7 games. I have no doubt theyll be back in October next year. It is impressive that with all the injuries and the Manny saga, they won 95 games and came to the brink of reaching the world series. What the ZRays have done this year is incredible. But unlike my room mate, I just cant root them on in the next round. Go Phillies!

Okajima threw 32 pitches last night, I dont think he'll be used tonight. Lester is set to bounce back from his game 3 start, 7 innings is in the cards. Agreed, I dont want another close game. All 6 wins have been nailbiters. Last night shouldve been a blowout instead of a 2 run game, capitalize with the runners on this time around. Lopez & Timlin can get some work in that scenario
