  1. i do think a 6 man rotation would be somewhat good cuz how awesome would this look 1. Schilling 2. Lilly 3. Clement 4. Wells 5. Wakefield 6. Miller Embree is right now at best calling upon him in late innings when we have a lead. even tho he gout of bases loaded, who else cringed when he was called upon with no outs, he got out of it in nice fashion but i knew right away that shouldve been only inning for him, as he was charged for 2 more Guardians runs. Im thinking maybe sox can trade both embree and mantei for Lilly, be very cool
  2. so glad when i saw that Manny is back to havin fun after starting season so serious, yay im startin to see him havin a good time out there and do that pointing thing that he does. It is pure manny, in start of this season he wasnt actin like himself at all and on average a homerun for each 10 games. well now in last 10 games, hes belted 6, knew he would come around, besides think all of the s***** weather we have been having up here in boston being cold from april thru mid june, probably did mess up manny cuz hes used to the hot weather with him being from the dominican. Last night, last October's memories came back as pedro quieted the yanks to now keep them back 5 1/2 games behind us, us being in 1st place now, haha. plus we got 2 3 run shots off of lieber, the lowly yankee pitcher we faced in 2 playoffs games plus hmm Sean Henn is pitchin for the yankees today against the Mets. Yanks I do believe once we lifted the curse of the bambino, he is now bearing his forces down on you :harhar:
  3. lights out did you see teks play of blockin the plate in the game against pittsburgh, if posada tried that he wouldve been steamrolled over the plate. tek didnt even flinch as the guy tripped over his leg, oh hmm and by the way who is leading in the all star votes for catcher
  4. with schilling out for now anyways, we got our current ace clement up on the mound saturday , friigin yeah, god they werent kidding great pitching will be contagious as well as power hitting, so far this week outscorin teams 40 - 15, and have belted at least 1 homerun each game this week, which is right now at 12 homeruns belted by our boys. everybody has been downplaying manny cuz of his average, well complain no further as manny is coming back full force as he was last summer, diving catches and gettin a homerun in just about every game since last sundays game against the cubs. niice stuff indeed
  5. i will say one thing dude, outside of the ballpark, a fight between posada and tek. my cap will beat down the "little bitch" in a sec, haha
  6. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- hows this for something i just found out reading factoids of wednesdays game against the Guardians. The 2005 Red Sox have already set a major league record so far goin in teh first 71 games without ever havin to go into extra innings, previous record was chicago white sox at 69 games. very cool to know
  7. obviously with cano doing good at 2B, clock is ticking for bernie williams this season. i see him possibly gettin traded off next month
  8. very true, i do know for sure end of this year will just be exciting sox player changes as it was after the world series when deals were being made
  9. romeo crennel said at one time hed like to take rohan with him to the brows, dont know now. them bringin on doug flutie being brady's second hand man, so good its givin me chills in boston sports there always show a player of willpower and strong bearings. curt schilling's ankle bled while he pitched a solid game, including striking the side out one time. then you take brady who took on the steelers in the playoffs game, an led pats to beat them scoring 42 points. yet at that same time, brady had this pounding headache and 101 degree temperature in freezing cold, if thats not having balls i dont know what is
  10. robinson cano is one of the yankees that i do like, and I think for this being his rookie season, doing very well
  11. tho, edgar is producin more than nomar had done this point last season
  12. well truely yes, ive already grown accustomed to seein #3 out there on the field. first game i went to this season was the sox win over the yanks, 8 - 5. and renterrias homerun was first ever i saw by a red sox player in any games ive been to before then. besides that, i do believe hes producing runs and able to steal bases and keep his K's at a low count thru almost halfway thru the season. so yes, im a fan of Edgahhh Renteria
  13. oh yea, im thinking atlanta has a good shot of sweeping baltimore, or at least 2 out of 3
  14. hows this for something i just found out reading factoids of wednesdays game against the Guardians. 15. yea, im thinkin the yank's pitching coach is goin to get the axe soon
  16. exactly. true i was impressed by the yanks comeback in their only win against the drays this week, scoring 13 runs in the eight inning. but yet that is the only silver lining i can see. the yanks have not been that consistent, where they will have a victory, then drop to the feet of a team with the worst road record in the majors. maybe its the roids side effects i dont know, haha. all i know is you should keep that new rookie pitcher called up for the devil rays game, he helping us out id say
  17. with johnny possibly out next season, wouldnt mind at all seeing jay payton take over startin center field. sure jay might not have the hair or the speed, but hes got this character that just spells out red sox. weve only seen him so far start several games and come in as backups. like to see how it would be with him startin each game
  18. somebody has to go to the pen to make way for schilling, and schillings fightin back hard for the yanks series after the all star break
  19. dude they just signed edgar to a 4 year $40 million contract. hes producing for us top notch right now when we need him to. do i have to bring up wednesday nights game against cleveland, 2 RBI's including the game winning RBI double in the top of the 9th inning
  20. cuz that is the most obvious that they wont put wakefield in the bullpen, and another thing who ever said to trade mueller??!! mueller still has good couple years of playing time on him left and I think Boston will be keeping him until he decides to retire or whatever, it does seem most likely when mueller does go, youkilis will get starting position.remember they can trade one of their AAA prospects like adam stern or hanley ramirez for a top relief pitcher. and bronson's position was as a long/middle reliever, trust me i know ive been watching every single game since spring training of 2003. wakefield is the staple of the red sox as they just signed a 3 year extension, hes still producing with those 2 back to back starts. besides hes been more somewhat consistent than wade miller has who by the 6th inning is already in 100 pitch range putting pressure on the bullpen.
  21. friday thru sunday, the subway series against the mets, i think i do see the yanks takin 2 out of 3
  22. oh yeaaa, even in our off days, the currently red hot sox are making strides in the standings, with the orioles and yanks both losing tonite. we now pull within 1/2 game of tyin baltimore for 1st place as the yanks for the 2nd time this season the struggling d-rays taking 3 out of 4 baltimore...42 - 30 boston...41 - 29... 1/2 game behind yanks........37 - 35... 5 games behind toronto......37 - 36... 5 1/2 games behind Tampa Bay.26 - 47... 16 games behind
  23. oh yeaaa, even in our off days, the currently red hot sox are making strides in the standings, with the orioles and yanks  both losing tonite. we now pull within 1/2 game of tyin baltimore for 1st place as the yanks for the 2nd time this season the struggling d-rays taking 3 out of 4 baltimore...42 - 30 boston...41 - 29... 1/2 game behind yanks........37 - 35... 5 games behind toronto......37 - 36... 5 1/2 games behind Tampa Bay.26 - 47... 16 games behind
  24. Bullpen help. Maybe if we can pull off a trade for shmidt or zito we can move aroyyo into the bullpen. once schilling comes back, one of the starters, most definitely arroyo bein moved back to the bullpen. im bettin if embree is not waived off the team, halamma will be sent back down to AAA
  25. jeez i must say i am impressed by jorge cantu's breakout in the majors. just turnin 23 this year and is up to 11 homeruns and 40 RBI's. able to get those stats up as so far thru first 3 innings of tonites game tampa is ahead again early at 4 - 2, with cantu drivin in all 4 runs with consecutive homeruns
