  1. actually youk, just one factoid with that mike myers has second lowest ERA of 2.50
  2. ahem tomorrow's yankee game matchup is A. Small for the Yankees, gettin his first start for them after being called up from Triple A. And um yeah Texas counters with Benoit, who in 26 innings pitched this season, kid everybody not his ERA is 0.69, in that span 10 walks, 27 Ks.
  3. good night altogether. started off with news Embree was finally cut--Sox got great player of Tony G who can actually play all infield and outfield positions--sox gettin nice win--bronson pitching good--timlin of course--schilling 1-2-3 nine pitch save--Mannys 25th homerun--Millar getting on base for 6th game in a row, notably Alex Cora picking up the defense. With all that, who got a good feeling when showed the picture of Tony G in a Red Sox uniform during the pre-game and post-game recaps?
  4. quick question hot shot, your team has decision for second baseman, who do you choose? Tony G with just 28 Ks (.298 avg) or Mark Bellhorn with league leading 109 Ks (.217 avg). Nothing wrong with us being happy about it
  5. honestly I wouldnt be surprised if a win in the AL East involved under 95 wins
  6. yes nice stuff, now lets give the ball to boomer for tomorrow's 1pm start. who has a 3.52 ERA at Fenway, and altogether 9-1 record against Tampa Bay with a 2.52 ERA
  7. men on corners, now fielders indifference--man from first goes to second, 2 outs come on twins all you need is a single!!
  8. dude they already got somebody in the form of Tony G to cover 2nd base so Mueller doesnt have to worry about it at all.
  9. watch the yankees fans will be like "oh yea just cuz sox are back in 1st, you guys are of course boasting about it" haha
  10. damn bernie williams walked, but up comes bobby crosby, will torre pinch hit for him?
  11. yankee fans, we now have a 5-3 record against the d-rays. The $38 million Devil Rays have a 7-3 record against the $208 million yankees
  12. How does everyone think about a 1-2 punch of Tony G/Cora, I think it will work out very good rather than Bellhorn/Cora. Alex Cora proved tonight he can be a gold glove type player
  13. wow damn go alex cora, he sure did espn web gem plays in tonights game. keeps that up, I wouldnt mind at all seeing him stay on for remainder of season as backup of 2nd base/ss
  14. all you naysayers that criticized me when i said schilling was going to be a great closer and saying hed be a train wreck, id like you to friggin kiss it 4 relief appearances, 1 Save: 3 hits, 2 runs, 5 strikeouts, no walks
  15. tek4pres, is absolutely right on that factoid. last year adam dunn has 195 strikeouts, beating bellhorn's 177. And so far already over halfway mark, hes got 98, plus just a .239 average. So Im not one as well to jump on the bandwagon to bring him to the Sox.
  16. they pretty much have to get these next 2 wins, cuz then after tampa, sox will be facing undeniably the best team in the majors, Chicago White Sox 62-29, with arguably a pitching rotation that is flawless
  17. dude aj burnett is just about to sign on the dotted line for the orioles. Them gettin embree gone and adding a 2nd baseman capable of playing all infied positions and batting avg of .298 is big changes for the sox, filling some holes
  18. Tony G has worked all 4 infield positions this season. I read that former Sox prospect Adam Hyzdu, who was sent to the padres but traded back so padres could have scott cassidy, Adam Hyzdu will join the team for tonights game and serve as the 5th outfielder.
  19. sox fan #1, i think thats indicating towards either cora or bellhorn would mostly likely be traded off/designated for assigment
  20. hope not, billys my favorite sox player--kinda ironic the time the trade deadline comes, sox will be wrapping up a three game series with the twins.
  21. despite not drawin lots of walks, his on base % is better than bellhorn's, .377 to .328
  22. my buddy of mine whose dad is a big fan of the royals, lost of laughing im guess from all of you haha, royals fans gave him the nickname of Tony G--I wont mind cheering that in Fenway
  23. Adam Stern is an all star compared to Chip, im surprised we didnt have to give up much. "Tony G" welcome to Red Sox Nation. and by the way Alan Embree, heres your pink slip and dont let the door that says 7.76 ERA hits your ass when it slams shut My wish list is being fulfilled past several weeks, mantei, foulke and bellhorn all sudden goin on DL, Alan Embree being cut, Tony G is coming to beantown to take over second base with not worrying about Alex Cora as a starter. Ok once Curt and foulke are healthy, halamma is cut, and gabe kapler is back. It'll be us saying to the yankees "You hear those footsteps?"
  24. nah sox fan, sox traded off cassidy to padres for former sox player Adam Hyzdu
