  1. besides with his contract of $21 million will eat up payroll and lower chances of re-signing players such as damon
  2. just saying dude for this season Id rather have Bill Mueller's on base percentage of .380, than mike lowell's of just .284 thus far
  3. it would be better to switch off lowell to minnesota since hes been having a bad season plus Sox would have to take on his 3 years contract of $21 million!! option kevin youkilis since bill mueller has been having an awesome year for the Sox, that way Twins give us easily lefty JC Romero, who is just 27 and has a nice ERA of 2.31 this season
  4. well as i said before, i wouldnt mind seeing this line up Marlins get Kelly Shoppach, Bronson Arroyo, Alan Embree, prospect from Twins Red Sox get JC Romero, AJ Burnett, prospect from Twins or Marlins Twins get Mike Lowell (could use him as utility infielder), Kevin Youkilis. Abe Alvarez
  5. pitching matchups for tonight at 8pm, ugh its seems so long away for me right now, haha. Matt Clement's career stats against Chicago White Sox is so/so at best with a 2-1 record and 5.06 ER. He is faced off against Chicago batters in limited fashion, but of course biggest hreat for him will be to hold down the speedy podsenik. Matt Clement vs: Joe Crede, 3 for 5 (.600 avg) 2 doubles, 2 RBIs, walk Jermaine Dye, 2 for 4 (.500 avg) K ex-Red Sox outfielder Carl Everett, 2 for 3 (.667 avg) 2 RBIs Willie Harris, 2 for 6 (.333 avg) 2 RBIs, K Paul Konerko, 2 for 6 (.333 avg) HR, 2 RBIs Timo Perez, 3 for 11 (.273 avg), RBI, walk, K AJ Pierzynski, 0 for 3 Scott Podsenik, 6 for 17 (.353 avg) HR, 2 RBIs, 2 walks, 3 Ks, 5 for 6 SBs Frank Thomas, 1 for 7 (.143 avg) HR, RBI, 2 walks,4 Ks Juan Uribe, 2 for 6 (.333 avg) 2 doubles, RBI, 2 Ks Chris Widger, 1 for 3 (.333 avg) 2 Ks
  6. Johnny Damon has since changed his stance and said he would be willing to work out a 3 year deal with the Sox and noted the Yankees arent really at top of his list with their checkbooks in his face. With so far if Youk is traded to Twins for JC Romero, and Mueller possibly in his last season. I feel Tony G would have a great impact at third base next season. with 2nd base, hanley, or pedroia.
  7. yeah its why I changed it some that the marlins would also get kevin youkilis, that way they could make youk their starting 3rd baseman with mike lowell getting utility duties
  8. no cant have lowell, first with him costsing the sox $21 million also that would be our "sammy sosa" on the bench. It should be a three team deal between the Red Sox, Marlins, and Twins. Red Sox--AJ Burnett, JC Romero, prospect from Marlins Marlins--Bronson Arroyo, Alan Embree, Kelly Shoppach, prospect from Twins Twins--Mike Lowell, Abe Alvarez, Kevin Youkilis
  9. They just signed Tony G, who is more than enough to handle play second base. Tony G is even able to play every outfield and infield position there is. Who knows, I think Tony G could become the new second baseman for 2005 is he does exceptionally well during time Bellhorn is on the DL. Plus they have backup Alex Cora. I think with this signing and now talks between Minnesota to get the strong lefty reliever JC Romero with a nice 2.31 ERA, they want a third baseman in return, Youk is best option for us to trade off since he hasnt been able to contribute as much as mueller thus far. This is so far lookin like Mueller's last season anyway, which he should end with the Sox in October. So I wouldnt mind seeing at all, Tony G taking over 3rd next season if he does make an impact and able to resign. Off the subject, but when he was taking off his helmet at bat, god he looks like he could be Nomar's brother, huh?
  10. he has tightened up his stance, remember at beginning of season his legs were wide apart with waving his bat like he was chopping wood. Though since the All-Star Break, he has put his feet together whith his bat slowly moving now, its working so far. now he just has to get a homerun since again hes the player to wait the longest to have a homerun, the last being back on June 4.
  11. i know that, terri, kevin and nesn announcers said it was to take a quick piss like in a cup or bottle
  12. well remember that sox did place him on 15 day DL with a back strain--remember about how curt's first starter and closer appearances were in triple A, then he progressed with more playing time
  13. yea haha, wade miller was about to throw first pitch when varitek motioned to him manny just coming out of the scoreboard.
  14. haha yeaa it was just another Manny Moment, haha, he went back ther to take a quick piss basically
  15. one thing guys can most agree on here, how about NESN correspondent Hazel Mae? just "wow" went through my mind when I saw her one time at Fenway.
  16. how about kevin millar our boy is coming around gettin on base 4 times, walking again for 7th game in a row (nine altogether), had a hit, RBI, and scored three of Boston's nine runs
  17. they said he was taken out of the game for two reasons (1) had pulled hamstring during 4th inning somehow (2) he had to get something at his house to take with him since the bus to chicago would be leaving right after todays game had ended--altogether it was another Manny Moment, haha
  18. i hope clement has his stuff, he didnt last long against the yankees
  19. "are u kidding me?" also factor in the bruin championships, and do have lil sizable lead over ny
  20. 2 things that are threatening about the white sox--flawless pitching staff, stolen bases with posednik having 50 just halfway thru the season alone
  21. considering also of course Tony G is not one to strike out as much, in 194 at bats, only 28 strikeouts. with bellhorn in 283 at bats, 109 strikeouts. Tony G might be known as the "utility infielder", but I think he has the ability by far to be a great starter
  22. it probably would be alex cora for second base to go to the twins, sox has too much of trust with bellhorn not to trade him off during the season. i do think however that if Tony G starts the games at second base till bell comes back which i think he will, and able to have good on base percentage, hits, and lil strikeouts, sox management could very likely put bellhorn as a backup for rest of the season.
  23. ah yeah keep forgetting that detail. well shoppach instead to marlins, and alan embree instead to the twins
  24. i def hope he does, also Id like to keep stern--cuz second half last year we had the backup outfielder duos of kapler and roberts. Could be same way with stern and kapler, Kapler has the hit power, and Stern of course has the baserunning power.
  25. Marlins--Bronson Arroyo, Alan Embree, prospect from Twins Red Sox--JC Romero, AJ Burnett, prospect from marlins Minnesota Twins--Mike Lowell, Kelly Shoppach, Abe Alvarez
