  1. Thats what the nesn pre-game report, gordon edes and chris snow both suggested that since this is just before the trade deadline and only having pitched 9 innings in triple A, yeah it could very well be a showcase to entice teams to trade with them. sucks to cuz he has the makings to be a great pitcher, as well as with him being a Boston native, Sox were the team he grew up idolizing
  2. with Clement unfortuantely going down, so far Im thinking it could be best for Clement to take rest of season off, tests might be negative but a 100 mph line drive to your head could very much mes with presence and mechanics. Theo probably got no sleep last nite worrying about his all star pitcher and outfielder hurt in same inning, at same time trying to ham out deals that might push sox to acquiring aj burnett
  3. Could the White Sox be using the prospects they would have reportedly sent to Florida for Burnett in a different deal? This from ESPN.com's Jayson Stark: "There were indications Tuesday that (the White Sox) have been working on a potential whopper of a deal with Tampa Bay that could bring them both Danys Baez and Aubrey Huff. And to get them, the White Sox would have to give up at least some of the pitchers they've been speaking to Florida about -- particularly relievers Damaso Marte, Cliff Politte and/or Neal Cotts -- plus other prospects."
  4. i didnt say at all to trade manny, nor do i want sox to, Sox need Manny as much as he needs them. guess i didnt make my point clear enough how i was jut throwing out possibles names because the lack of depth of good players during this trade deadline
  5. Tim Wakefield and Bronson Arroyo were the good transactions Sox acquired from the Pirates. i was just tryin to think of pitchers on the market, this is just like the trade deadline of 2003, barely anyone good will be open for trades, especially since there are lots of close races this season in the wild card and pennant races
  6. well Carl Pavano has been pushed back to mid-August. And really most of the time ERA's dont lie, Nomo was 5-8 with a 7.24 ERA. in 100 innings pitched, he gave up 16 homeruns, striking out 59 but also walking high count at 51
  7. yankees signing this month Darrell May, Tim Redding, Al Leiter and now Hideo Nomo, haha, I would be surprised even if they make the wild card with the recent transactions. Brown is more likely than head to the DL again with Pavano now being pushed back to mid-August. They cant have Johnson & Mussina pitch everyday and hit as many homeruns that they can to make up for the pitching woes.
  8. whoa whoa dude calm down, dont make a trial case about this, i was just flying out names, dont take it so seriously haha
  9. youre screen name is contradicting itself, ILUVMANNYRAMIREZ, then why is it you only talk about arod 100% of the time?
  10. I was thinkin exact same thing, Theo probably got no sleep last nite at all.
  11. omg, haha I think steinbrenner is getting loopy in his old age, why does he keep signing these hasbeens? Darrell May sent back to minors after red sox outing giving up 6 runs in the 17-1 win, Tim Redding started 17-1 win giving up 6 runs and was escorted from Fenway Park after 5th inning who has been designated for assignment that same night, Al Leiter showed in his second start why Florida Marlins released him, wow ok now Hideo Nomo. I was at the sox/d-rays game that sox got to him early like 8 runs in the first 3 innings. pre-season: 1. Randy Johnson 2. Mike Mussina 3. Carl Pavano- injured///Chien Ming Wang- also injured 4. Kevin Brown- injured... again 5. Jaret Wright- injured pre trade deadline: 1. Randy Johnson (Randy & Mike the only consistent, good starting pitchers Yankees have 2. Mike Mussina 3. Al Leiter 4. Aaron Small 5. Hideo Nomo In 2005 its clear the Yankees only buy the best money can buy, the best to help the red sox stay on top that is
  12. yeah jeez on second page, few had no class, including one who wished that happened to Schilling instead, wow ok dude, heres another one that is igonarant to say.
  13. best moment for me by far was game 7, sox have just won it and are heading to the World Series for first time in 18 years. Sox players are just up there celebrating on the yankees' field, it showed the yankees dugout with arod still being there while everybody is filing back into teh clubhouse. The look on his face was priceless, a menacing look while walking back and forth. haha
  14. red sox also avoid being tied with yankees for first place and has the lead still
  15. ah f*** schil not again, 10-9, tying run on 2nd
  16. alright olerud, just one out left to make things right for Matt
  17. very much so, thank god gabe is coming back
  18. sox are up 10-8, its ok, just gotta get schil and great defense again
  19. this is for clement 100%, plus this is also for tampa bay fans baring down on sox batters after clement had gone down--heckler went home i bet, haha
  20. nice double play tampa as well as your star closer dany baez
  21. thats ok, manny up now still just one out, edgar on first
