  1. watch for it to happen in the offseason--i doubt yanks would let matsui go, hes having a good year, played in every single game, not much errors and will have an 100+ RBI game
  2. didnt you hear they are in the midst of getting to the AA playoffs I just heard on weei that Theo had taken a visit to Portland and the Sea Dogs were actually trying to work out a deal with him for them to keep Craig Hansen, of course Theo over-ruled them right away on that
  3. Kevin Millar hit what was the game winning homerun in game 3 against Tampa Bay. Yesterday he got a single to get on base, right after Olerud had hit his 2-run homerun. Before Olerud's 2nd homerun of the night Millar hit a deep fly ball to the right field warning track to get Trot to right field. Then in like the 8th inning he had hit his ground rule double which then had set up John Olerud's RBI ground rule double. He has been hitting 300 since couple weeks ago, way its going Id like him and Olerud to split duties, as long as Millar keeps hitting way he is
  4. i was bored so i made this crappy rendition of what hed look like, haha
  5. Wakefield is here to stay for 3 more seasons. he signed a contract extension on April 19
  6. Billy Wagner is gonna be really pricey. he is asking for 3 years ($27 million) and right now Phillies are hard at work negotiating with him
  7. haha should let elsrbruneo know about this. he called this one jerk that he is, he'd fit well into the pinstripes
  8. ok as i said before i will stand behind him if his bat helps the Sox to the World series and he closes his chapter in a red sox light. you just dont listen
  9. He is still with the Orioles, out with hand and leg sprains. but the new manager of the Orioles stated Rafael could be available for pinch hittng duties
  10. Im going to tonight's game behind home plate. Rafael Rafael Rafael, trust me even if you wear earplugs, they just wont help you in Fenway Park I was at the Texas Rangers game where Kenny Rogers started, and we booed him every time he came onto the field and left the fiel. We will make it even worse for Palmeiro, I assure you that.
  11. Wells will have to wait 8 days but he's more resiliant than curt is right now
  12. no nesn just showed the scheduled starters, and it had said curt schilling to get the start for Sunday's game. I know if Curt would have gone on Monday, it wouldve been a week for him since Tampa Bay game, maybe Sox's front office didnt want him to stay out that long from pitching, routine they want to keep him on.
  13. well things have changed just a lil bit as NESN reported the Sox/Orioles' series starters with Schil being moved up to Sunday's start. As rotation is going now, this is what it could look like for rest of regular season barring any mishaps or if Wade Miller (not likely) comes back September 2 vs Baltimore- Lenny Dinardo September 3 vs Baltimore- Matt Clement September 4 vs Baltimore- Curt Schilling September 5 vs Chicago- David Wells September 6 vs Los Angeles- Tim Wakefield September 7 vs Los Angeles- Bronson Arroyo September 8 vs Los Angeles- Matt Clement September 9 at New York- Curt Schilling September 10 at New York- David Wells September 11 at New York- Tim Wakefield September 12 at Toronto- Bronson Arroyo September 13 at Toronto- Matt Clement September 14 at Toronto- Curt Schilling September 15 vs Oakland- David Wells September 16 vs Oakland- Tim Wakefield September 17 vs Oakland- Bronson Arroyo September 18 vs Oakland- Matt Clement September 19 at Tampa Bay- Curt Schilling September 20 at Tampa Bay- David Wells September 21 at Tampa Bay- Tim Wakefield September 22- Day Off September 23 at Baltimore- Bronson Arroyo September 24 at Baltimore- Matt Clement September 25 at Baltimore- Curt Schilling September 26 vs Toronto- David Wells September 27 vs Toronto- Tim Wakefield September 28 vs Toronto- Bronson Arroyo September 29 vs Toronto- Matt Clement September 30 vs New York- Curt Schilling October 1 vs New York- David Wells October 2 vs New York- Tim Wakefield
  14. Sorry dude its how it is. Just gotta take tonight with a grain of salt.
  15. AA Portland rejected Sox's request of Jon Lester for tomorrow because they are in the midst of the "AA playoffs", well whoopy friggin do, I think a World Series push is a lot bigger than that
  16. no doubt about the offense, i was just meaning that Sox will probably be expecting from Dinardo, 5 or 6 innings
  17. Bronson went 7 innings, put less pressure on the pen. Paps pitched a hell of an 8th inning, allowed 1 walk while striking out the side. Then came back in the 9th and gave up back to back singles. Tito brought in Timlin with 2 men in base who settled down the D-Rays 1-2-3 for his 3rd consecutive save--Harville though was warming up in the pen in the 9th, if needs be. with a rookie starting tomorrow, will see Sox bullpen acqusitions at work im guessing.
  18. it will be Lenny Dinardo's first career start, he has faced the Orioles but only in relief appearances. Its basically a rookie vs rookie matchup. John Maine, the highly touted future Ace of the Orioles, will be making his first career appearance against the Sox
  19. Millar just had a great series against the D-Rays having 5 hits in 12 at bats (.450 avg) 2 Doubles, 2 HRs, 3 RBIs, 4 Runs scored, 1 Walk, 2 Ks--lets hope he continues this against the Orioes, in 53 games he has a career .261 batting avg against them with 8 HRs. While Olerud has played 139 games against them, with a career .281 batting avg and 14 HRs
  20. well its still looking red sox's way as they play just 12 out of their last 30 games on the road. By far they will finish out on top with the best home record in all of baseball--And dude the Sox's road record is the best in the AL East at 34-35
  21. yeaa haha what can i say, i started to become superstitious having an avatar that says Red Sox 05 Defending champs, its now new relief pitcher chad harville, expecting good stuff from him
  22. Wright was settling them down with just 3 hits and no runs until he was plunked, once sturtze came over, it unraveled for the Yanks. Oh well its now a 3 1/2 game lead, Sox face the Orioles at home. While Yankees travel to face off against the hot Oakland A's for 4 games, who have by far a better pitchings staff
  23. yesss 3.5 lead is back and hopefully to never drop back down to anything lower best offense: duh its Johnny Helmet hitting 2 shots to the bullens with 6, count them 6 RBIs. also side props go to Millar starting to turn it around, whose hits helped with the rallies tonight. Mueller and Ortiz both went 0-4 best pitching: Mike Timlin getting the save, coming in with no outs and 2 men on and having a 1-2-3 inning not letting inherited runners score. Papelbon did a great 8th striking out the side. Bronson as the last 2 starters did so, did better as game went on and had gone to 7 innings with 6 strikeouts, and just allowed the 4 runs the whole game best defense: another erroless game, damon running the distance to the bullpen to catch a fly ball
  24. He's a decent stand up guy. I am a Red Sox fan, but if a Yankee players goes down like that I take no pride in that, and wish for the very best for him. Us Sox fans have had to go through people getting hurt during games this season: Clement, Trot, Foulke (BP practice), Wakefield 2 times
  25. omg I hope hes ok, sure he's a Yankee but Id never wish harm on anyone. we had to go through the Matt Clement line drive. its not good at all
