    Im not really opting for Mark Grudz, next season he will be 36 and I dont see Cards ever passing up on him. Im hoping to see the Sox resign Tony Graffanino to be the regular 2nd baseman

    dude "bighurt", we're just putting our wish lists in here and there is no hell of a reason to gloat on us on how the sox got into the playoffs, yes we know it came down to the last day. As it was for the Astros, and Yankees made it second to last day of the season. your point being?     Irish Jay doesnt seem like he's been a Red Sox fan for that long really. Ive grown up to learn to take the good with the bad. we cant win them all. Here's to 2006

    and the yankees are one game away from being eliminated, and they have what? thats right the biggest payroll in mlb history. dude just step off, why are you still complaing "oh they didnt win the east" blah blah, in the end the better team had won, so accept that. hey 95 wins from having an injured foulke and schilling is quite remarkable to me, and we all know and have faith 2006 will be the year to turn things around.     if yankees lose today it will surely prove yankees and red sox have had a carbon copy season. finished season with same record, both dont make it to ALCS, they both had serious injuries to their pitching staff, theyd lose on the same days, win on the same days, number of other things, etc.

    his ERA was 3.44, 198 Ks, 79 Walks his last 10 games he pitched, marlins gave him an average 3 runs of support a game

    oh i def agree, he came around in the last month defensively. ah man did you see that top notch web gem play edgar pulled where he was in left field with the groundball, spinned around and threw it to 1st to tag out the runner!!

    Adam Stern will be the 4th outfielder next spring. According to Boston Dirt Dogs, under the Rule 5 draft the Sox pretty much have to. Im ok with that, the kid has speed and he showed some great defense before getting injured

    lack of wins doesnt really delve much into a great pitcher or not, this season and priors seasons AJ gets the "2005 roger clemens treatment": lack of run support and what do you have to say about our Tim Wakefield? this season was the first time he had more than 12 wins since 1998, 7 season ago. Its what the Sox's offense can do for good pitchers like them and AJ would sure get run support

    Angels are favored for this one Jarrod Washburn in 6 games vs NYY, 3-2 record with a 2.72 ERA Shawn Chacon in 2 games vs LAA, 0-1 record with a 9.00 ERA

    defeat is something you never want to see. especially a die hard red sox fan, been one since birth in 83. first game i went to at fenway park was game 2 or 3 of the 86 World Series. Still I wont forget this season, there were a number of positives. now this offseason its time to say goodbye to players you grew accustomed to seeing, cheering them on with every AB. Yes Millar wore out his welcome, but I still have cool flashacks of the good things he had done from 2003 (notably inside the park HR) to 2005 (walkoff HR off Oakland). Thanks for the memories Millar, see you next season from the opposing team's dugout...

    Lenny DiNardo as the long reliever in 06. he proved in September he has what it takes, 1 ER in 13.2 innings (0.69 ERA)

    thats cool with me, Konerko is a fixture of the White Sox. theyd be dumb not to sign him to a long lucrative contract. I would be perfectly happy enough with D-Rays' Aubrey Huff taking on 1st base at Fenway this spring

    dont have to gloat really. but thanks for the compliments, and you're white sox do have the makings it seems that the red sox had last October. 2006 will be an eventuful year for sure and Im confident they will make the playoffs again. I see big things for Papelbon, he will do greatly as a part of the retooled pitching rotation

    um yea dude i was talking about being fine with aubrey huff as the new 1st baseman. Konerko will not go to the Red Sox, White Sox is his main choice to stay with and if he leads them to a world series, they'll sign him to a lucrative contract that very night. He's even laughed off thoughts of joining the Red Sox as he grew up in connecticut a die-hard Yankees fan

    #1 in just about every category in offense, we got the hitting. this year proved it can carry us to the playoffs. its all about pitching this offseason

    i dont see at all white sox let konerko slip away. Sox's #1 fuist baseman they will be going for this offseason will be the Devil Rays' Aubrey Huff. And that is totally cool with me.

    35 years old is a geezer huh? Wells, Schilling, Timlin, Wakefield, Olerud, and Mike Myers are well over 35 years old, are they geezers too. Injury prone? this year was the first season he actually missed time, you dont know your stats too well. from 1995 to 2004 he averaged 30 or more starts a season. he would have more wins notched to him, except Mets are notorious for giving him low run support 2005- 6 starts, 1-4 record, 4.14 ERA 2004- 33 starts, 12-13 record, 4.00 ERA 2003- 33 starts, 16-10 record, 3.78 ERA 2002- 30 starts, 11-11 record, 3.37 ERA 2001- 28 starts, 11-13 record, 4.46 ERA

    I dont think Sox would take Cliff Floyd. Its just that Cliff Floyd and Red Sox front office had left on sour notes
