  1. get ready for a new looking Fenway this spring
  2. from the Boston Herald it would without a doubt suck to not see the great defensive plays billy ball game had delivered each game as a Red Sox, plus the clutch hits he delivered. (especially with bases loaded) I expect the Minnesota Twins, who are in need of offense, to offer him a 2 or 3 year deal. Which he'd probably opt over the Sox's likely 1 year offering.
  3. most likely i see nomar signing a deal with the diamondbacks look for the cubs to push hard for braves' shortstop Furcal
  4. its cool, he was a "C+" this season when Tito calls him on board to pitch against the righties
  5. Mike Myers really did have a commendable season and I hope to see him come back as the situational lefty reliever, way more deserving than a C- 2005: 3-1 record with a 3.13 ERA (13 ER in 37.1 innings); 21 Ks; 13 Walks
  6. eh you were one batter off what a game this was and burke isnt that much of a HR hitter too im happy, astros win the NLCS, Pats win, and now just for the Angels to win, and my wknd will be at least happy from what happened friday
  7. we are watching history right now this will be the longest game post-season history in time (5 1/2+ hours) and innings (17)
  8. that is true, afterall sox were tring to do that deal with the marlins before to get AJ Burnett and bronson arroyo was part of that package
  9. Papelbon wouldve gone longer in his starts, just at that time they had him on an innings/pitch count limit. How can people not be sold on him being a starter? In his 3 starts, has allowed 4 ER in 17 innings, I do hope to see him as a starter come spring, 2006
  10. atta boy rocket, nice bunt
  11. alright!! 5 pitch walk for biggio cmon rocket get him in scoring position
  12. Texas Rangers have expressed they want to trade off Soriano. He is not a free agent until the 2006 offseason, and the Rangers are seeking in return top quality pitching. The Twins could be the front runner, since they need to hype up their offense. Boston.com has already said the Sox's plans are to have Triple A Dustin Pedroia and Alex Cora at that position. Sox will be giving up prospects anyway with the Aubrey Huff deal, Boston.com had already pointed out that a trade with Tampa Bay is targeted
  13. Soriano in 2005 with RISP: 39 for 166 (.235 avg) 9 Doubles, 2 Triples, 8 HRs, 66 RBIs, 8 Walks, 33 Ks Soriano in 2005 with RISP/2 outs: 17 for 94 (.181 avg) 2 Doubles, Triple, 5 HRs, 24 RBIs, 3 Walks, 18 Ks
  14. a drawback of having soriano, he averages just 30/35 walks a season
  15. yeah sure http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/articles/2005/10/09/sox_should_strike_while_fire_is_hot/?page=4
  16. and thats another game winning field goal by the cool and collected, future hall of famer adam vinatieiri
  17. Arroyo isnt under contract for 2006. The Red Sox have a club option on him for 2006, which they could decline
  18. His loyalty to the white sox will be a big factor as well as I expect white sox to give him a 5+ $$$ contract
  19. D-Rays given permission to interview Girardi NEW YORK (AP) - Yankees bench coach Joe Girardi was given permission Saturday to interview for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays' managerial opening. Girardi interviewed Friday for the Marlins' manager job, and Florida plans to schedule a second interview. Jack McKeon, who managed the Marlins to a World Series victory over the Yankees in 2003, said last weekend that he would not return next season. "They're a young team," Girardi said. "They have kids coming. It's a chance to win." Tampa Bay agreed to let manager Lou Piniella out of the final season of his four-year contract. Stuart Sternberg took over Thursday from Vince Naimoli as the Devil Rays' controlling owner and immediately fired general manager Chuck LaMar.
  20. 21-13 game!! Brady gets it done with Graham and Watson, 2 quick long passes Graham for another 45 yard gain Watson for a 33 tard touchdown catch
  21. i thought i saw the instant replay colvin doing the time out signal when the ball was snapped. whoever does that while the ball is already snapped is just something you dont do
  22. good job colvin you dumbass, there's 3 gift points to atlanta!!
  23. Boston.com has reported that since Francona's first 2 seasons he has led the team to the playoffs, it is expected after Theo's deal is done that Tito will get a nice big raise in the form of an extension
  24. thats a tradition each offseason Red Sox get the better deal last year, when they were outbid by yankees for pavano
