  1. no doubt i like the trade, its just bigbie haha . It would be a good trade to get ahold of Shealy. Todd Helton is there to stay as regular 1st baseman, which would make shealy the odd man out if he wants to be an everday starter. He had an impressive debut season at 1st base. In 36 games he batted a very very good .330 batting avg. 2 HRs, 16 RBIs. had a 1.000 fielding percentagepercentage
  2. as indicated by Peter Gammons, a possible Sox/Rockies trade is looming: personally Id rather have Adam Stern over Bigbie any day as our 4th outfielder.
  3. would you say the same thing for when there would be walkoff wins in the regular season for the red sox, theyd storm the field and celebrate at home plate, or david wells had pumped his fistt after he did a complete game against the orioles. just several examples. are they *******s for doing that as well?
  4. umps actually get a call right, thats a 1st. AJ Pierzynski is yet again in the middle of such a play.
  5. exactly the ball that was used during the last out wouldve been a great addition to the trophy and world series ring when the Sox Front Office had brough them to just about every city in New England. For me I had got to see and touch the trophy and ring, but to hold the ball used as the last out would be even more speechless.
  6. ooh contreras not a good pick off throw at all
  7. really? i didnt know that. but think about what if those players werent overturned, umps still changed the course of the games by getting those calls, wouldnt you say??
  8. of course they do. look at the angels/white sox game 2 with two outs in the 9th inning that gave the white sox another life. Last year the Umps ejecting Arod for intefering with the play, slapping bronson's glove. jeter had scored but they ordered Jeter back to 2nd base, and the Yankees' run was taken off of the board. The Umps also had convened and confirmed Bellhorn actually had hit a HR, not a double. and thats just several examples.
  9. alright yess!! Astros win, tomorrow Petitte vs Carpenter for the world series ticket
  10. whats really sad, in the first 6 games the pats defense havent been able to hold any team under 20 points. Thru today's game thus far, they are giving up an average 27 points a game
  11. no doubt he had some good outings but still that couldnt do anything to help his 6.18 ERA. Also his role in the bullpen was the long reliever. In 2006 it will be either Papelbon or most likely DiNardo who had impressed the Sox F.O. with his September call-up, 1 ER in 13.1 innings (0.69 ERA)
  12. omg this amos zerroue guy is not getting anything done for the pats
  13. thats right Schilling and wakefield are both assured of coming back. About Miller, he had signed a 1 seson contract with club option to return in 2006. Reports were late September that Sox are leaning toward declining the option considering Miller will have offseason surgery, delaying the time again he could come back and pitch. yes david wells is under contract for next season, but that isnt stopping him from mulling retirement. There's always possibility of a 6 man staff.
  14. Wait, what? Of course the sox wouldnt have wells in the bullpen rather than papelbon. thats a no-brainer it would be decided between arroyo and paps. But, that aside as for lots of veteran starting pitchers on the staff in 2006, Schilling is the only pitcher that is 100% assured of coming back. Wells is mulling retirement. Miller will not be resigned to the Sox. Bronson this offseason will look for a mulit-year $$$ contract extension (2006 is team option). Clement's piss poor 2nd half and torrid playoff start might have cost him the "Javier Vazquez" treatment. No doubt in mind that Papelbon will be in rotation next spring, and could very will win 15 games or more
  15. it has begun with the official moves, these cuts from the roster are by no surprise, but still cool to see new and improved Sox taking shape little by little other interesting news
  16. side note from Yankees offseason plans:
  17. I think it takes a lot for a pitcher to impress him. Afterall he has said couple times that Papelbon shouldnt be in the rotation next spring but rather the bullpen because thus far "Papelbon hasnt proven himself to me yet"
  18. dude omg this doesnt have anything to do with the angels, its the umpires we are pissed about. we get that you are rooting for the white sox. we arent frigging bashing the white sox. i bet if tables were turned and same calls were made on white sox, Fox would be showing the instant replays over and over again
  19. oh dude calm down. We get it, when you talk in CAPs, you are serious haha. when you see the instant replays and actually follow the rules, yes this umpriing team is blowing calls left and right. I can recall a series against the Rangers where the umpiring team in all 3 games had made multiple ******** calls against the Sox
  20. thanks, yeah he would be an ugrade to the sox bullpen. i have seen him pitch before, and know how his presence is on the mound. 2005 season had seen sox pitchers lose their dominant edge over batters, like the way pedro would move batters off the plate if they were leaning in too much. Papelbon had exhibited that when he pitched inside to Vladimir, that made him fall on his back.
  21. exactly Soriano is not the type of player to sign just a 1 season deal (only aging players and backups sign such deals). Soriano will be looking for a multi-year contract when he hits free agency in the 2006 offseason.
  22. why wouldnt they be bitching? in game 2 bad call on the angels in the 9th inning with 2 outs, turned out to be an easy white sox win. had it been ruled a strike, game wouldve gone to extra innings and a chance angels talking game 2 now this past inning, it wouldve been bases loaded with 1 out and they couldve easily tied the game or go ahead runs if not for the home plate umpire being blind and telling the angels staff he didnt see what they saw
  23. omg these frigging umps made another costly dumbass error!! steve finley hit pierzynski's glove which wouldve made it bases loaded with 1 out, if these umpires are ever paying attention!!!
  24. you just never know when your time is up sadly
  25. oh im hoping that happens, i'll gladly buy tickets for each game of that series, if it does happen for 2006
