  1. 3 years/$39 remaining. Bench him, awesome
  2. Rocco Baldelli and Mark Kotsay are both expected back this coming week. Sending Jeff Bailey and Jonathan Van Every to Pawtucket in the process
  3. Eventually the Sox will have to tweak the middle of the order. Tito, I know Ortiz is one of your biggest boys... but his time as the 3-4 guy is seemingly coming to an end Ellsbury Pedroia Jason Bay Kevin Youkilis J.D. Drew Mike Lowell David Ortiz Jason Varitek Julio Lugo I wouldve made a game thread today, but i think the Sox need some SOTK mojo!
  4. Remy is ill. He also missed time during spring training games
  5. Weird start time, 7:38 ET Masterson this season vs Tampa Bay in 2 games (both in relief), 0.00 ERA. On the road in 2 games (both in relief), 5.40 ERA Sonnanstine this season at home in 1 game, 3.60 ERA (2 runs in 5 innings)
  6. Lol. Today's 1st & 10 on Espn... they were debating if Rajon Rondo is a dirty player Oh yea he ranks right up there with Rodney Harrison:rolleyes:

  8. It is crazy that after the first month of the season, its the 1/2 punch of Wakefield and Masterson. Entering the season, Wake was viewed as the 4th or even 5th starter. Masterson as one of the key setup men for Papelbon.

  11. Masterson the current No. 2 guy getting it done tonight. Sox offense should hit Andy good, and then some
  12. He was also the losing pitcher against Oakland in extra innings. Walking the bases loaded before giving up the winning hit
  13. Joke of a night. Im getting a beer and vic that my dentist prescribed for me today. Goodnight all!

  15. Glen Davis joins Pierce and Perkins, fouling out
  16. Paul Pierce is playing like he's ready for retirement
  17. Seriously f*** Lopez, even if the 5 runs he gave up was in garbage time! Thank god for the rest of the bullpen this season, and the offense (unlike this game) because the rotation has been Wakefield, Masterson & co. Our 1-3 guys of Beckett, Lester, Dice-K have been disappointing
  18. Awesome already up to 50 pitches
  19. 3 hits in 3 innings. Nothing hit hard. 1 jam shot for a hit, other 2 have been infield weak grounders
  20. Garza has retired the first 9 batters on 37 pitches
  21. Couple weeks ago I heard that the Sox were scouting Milwaukee lefty specialist Mitch Stetter. Don't have a link. Sox will give Lopez a long leash, he is of course one of Tito's favorites. It took them until July to cut the likes of Alan Embree/Rudy Seanez With little over a month ahead, Penny needs to get himself in a groove if he doesnt want to lose his rotation spot to Smoltz
  22. Lets go 11 straight baby. Its only a matter of time for Ortiz to be taking the balls into stands. He has been hitting the ball to left field which is a good sign to see. In the 9 game homestand he did hit better than before (6 game hitting streak going into tonight) Homestand 10 for 39 (.256 avg) 5 Doubles, Triple, 8 RBIs, 6 Runs, 12 Ks Before homestand 6 for 34 (.176 avg) Double, 3 RBIs, 2 Runs, 6 Walks, 8 Ks
  23. Boo I have comcast. Just got a letter from them that they are having a dispute with the NFL Network. It could be gone from the service next month
  24. The knock on Youk during his first couple of seasons as a starter, was that he was just good for the 1st half. Last year he got rid off of that monkey his back, and then some. What a season it would be for Ellsbury if he can keep it going the whole year through
