  1. managers and coaches tell the runners when to go. Coco is the only Sox player who has the green light the whole time
  2. Varitek pinch hit since Wake's game is done, I thought that was common sense
  3. lets leave that talk until its said & done in the 9th
  4. Gonzalez also ranks as the best shortstop with 1 error. Youkilis leads as the best defenisve 1st baseman, his 1 error this season came at 3rd base. And hey our outfielders have been error free as well. Pre-season projections were dead on
  5. Mr. Red Sox Wakefield looks to get things done and make it 14 straight (3rd highest streak against any Sox opponent). Foof for thought: 2 more wins clinches the season series win against the O's
  6. That is what the Rangers are best known for, great offense/meatball pitching. I went to a Sox/Rangers game last August. The game where we booed Kenny Rogers every chance we got by the way . Heading into the bottom of the 8th inning the Sox held a slim 7-5 lead, make way for the Rangers bullpen... Sox batted around for a 9-run 8th inning to make it 16-5.
  7. 13 straight from Orioles Tomorrow has Wakefield (2.90 ERA @ Camden Yards) vs Bedard (7+ ERA against sox). Hello number 14
  8. Foxsports said that Paps is projected for a major league record 59 saves, I wouldnt doubt that from happening
  9. eh Id say Schil pitched much better than Chacon Chacon- 1.1 inning, 8 Runs Schilling- 5.2 innings, 5 Runs
  10. Varitek with the hat trick. I was hoping last night was the turning point
  11. That play at 1st was too close for comfort
  12. Seanez warming up to backup Holtz in a 1 run game. Um Tito...
  13. Tito remember the start in Cleveland?
  14. I knew it would just be a matter of time that theyd start to miss the 30 HR/100 RBI bats from Sheffield & Matsui. The trio of Bernie/Bubba/Melky is not the answer to rotate and George knows it. A trade will come soon if they keep up like this. Bubba I do admit can flash the leather, but his hitting is best served as a 4th outfielder
  15. Beckett's talking with Nipper and they both keep looking down at his index finger. Send out a relief pitcher and not tempt more out of him, those blisters problems need to be kept at bay
  16. Things of notice: Today is Beckett's 26th B-day. Happy B-day Josh, dont let the O's get in your way of having a good one Tonight, Tito will be looking for his 500th career win as a manager
  17. Maybe its all mental, but A-Rod is looking lost defensively this season thus far. Last season in 162 games he committed just 12. In 35 games, he's already halfway to that mark with 6.
  18. When Crisp comes back, Dustan Mohr is all but certain to be sent down to minors or even DFA'd. They wont stick with 6 outfielders. Wily Mo will go back to the platoon with Trot, and Harris will be back to what he can only do: late innings pinch runner. The impact of the return of Coco wont be a minor one at all
  19. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/recap;_ylt=Amr.WyG5v1Lu5C_6f0vKjgARvLYF?gid=260513124&prov=ap Albert Pujols through May 13 has clubbed his baseball leading 19th HR. Summer is right around the corner and his new ballpark is being considered by many as a hitter's park. Could he have a chance of unseating Bonds' record?
  20. Newsday is reporting that the Yankees are now trying to be optimistic about Matsui coming back by September at the earliest. http://www.newsday.com/sports/baseball/yankees/ny-spmatsui134740528may13,0,916507.story?coll=ny-yankees-print
  21. didnt realize, was just going from today's ex-game preview that showed the matchups of Boston's next 3 games. I hope Benson is in the series now against Boston
  22. aww poor Baltimore, get ready for a good possibility of being beaten by the Sox in a 14-0 record dating back to last September Game 1- Beckett vs Lopez (Beckett's streak of bad luck outings seems over for now and Lopez hasnt been lights out against Boston the past couple of seasons) Game 2- Schilling vs Chen (Schill will bounce back, Chen seems overmatched in this one) Game 3- Wakefield vs Bedard (Wake has had his success, especially at Camden Yards--Bedard is a lefty the Sox love to face)
