    Trying a go at this again :dunno:. Cmon guys gotta pull out a win and distance yourselves in the AL East. Phenom Jered Weaver takes the Hill, oddly enough this season rookie pitchers havent had that much success against Boston but Jered's a different breed altogether. Beckett will be facing an aggressive 1st pitch swinging team, keep in mind most of the hits (especially HRs) have come on his first & 2nd pitches. Overcome these cons and get a nice little streak going.     Aside, Soriano was removed from last night's game in the middle of the 5th inning (not due to injury). I'll be surprised if he isnt moved by Monday

    I wouldnt mind packaging Trot with 1 or 2 second tier prospects for the Indian's Westbrook if they were interested All Trot has for us is his defense nowadays

    I was watching FSN's round up of baseball highlights. Now I shouldnt be surprised, but Im just going to ask why did Bernie Williams get a curtain call after a solo HR late in the game made it 6-0?

    he's 22 and first season in the majors what am I saying, Theo send him down to Triple A!! Better yet trade him for a half a season starting pitcher. We cant stand by for this kid to learn his way into the big show

    Sox will not trade Lowell in the middle of a pennant race who has been a force at the bottom of the lineup and is nipping at Chavez's 5 straight seasons of the AL gold glove. And no, Hansen/Pedroia arent likely to be traded. I believe when Theo said "I will not trade blue chip prospects for win-now trades"

    MDC's ERA went just went over 4 tonight. He's going through a rough patch like all relievers have during a season. EDIT: Hansen is still adjusting to the major leagues. Manny, not giving him too much credit as you should, has found himself as the 7th inning guy. His ERA up through the all-star break was around 1.99 I believe. I'll take that inconsistent efforts please. About Foulke... eh I think fans were screaming he was finished with the ERA range of 5-7 it has been the last 2 seasons

    He's a 2 year stop gap, jeez now youre complaing about having Lowell on the team. Go back to the Beckett trade, the Marlins threw in Lowell, only way to get Josh. The Marlins & every team thought Mike was done after 1 off year

    Id say there are no objections in the front office to the Sox taking on Lowell. And he's just signed thru next season

    Im not bashing him or anything, just laying down the fact that he is in a rough stretch recently. Those 3 blowns saves were when he came into the game and the Sox had the lead so it still has some effect. last 3 appearances 2.1 innings, 8 Hits, 6 Runs ------------ Thank you Javier Lopez!!!!! Woohoo back to a half game lead over the Yanks, Im going to sleep. And guess what we're facing Jered Weaver tomorrow, more rest for the Sox bats

    but its the truth... Lester at the time the game was tied had already given up 9 hits and was about to face the top of the order (pitch count isnt everything).
