  1. The offense is not the main reason the Sox have lost 4 straight to the Yankees
  2. Is Timlin the one to call out the team? 17 runs in his last 11.2 innings... yea he can keep his mouth shut -- Timlin never at all had called out the pitching. He purely stated that it was the offense doing jack s***. We are holding down the opposing offense consistently, we're throwing the ball really well
  3. eh Id much rather see the Sox use that money towards what they really need... pitching
  4. 7 men left on base through 5 When our pitching is actually good, our offense takes the day off
  5. Greeeaaat Manny is taken out of the game, Gabe Kapler is our #4 guy to protect Ortiz for rest of the game
  6. Hansen has been sent down because he has been shaken up since the All-Star break, not just last nights game where he easily gave up 3 runs (2 HRs)
  7. I just heard on nesn, Tom Caron reporting that Tito has decided to give the start to Kyle Snyder. Even though Snyder has had to work out of the bullpen this past wknd and threw couple side sessions
  8. this team on a 9 game west coast road trip, first up the Angels. The Sox will be lucky to win 1 in Angel Stadium Angels Kyle Snyder vs Joe Saunders... Edge Angels Jon Lester vs Kelvim Escobar... Edge Angels Josh Beckett vs Jered Weaver... Edge Angels
  9. Wallace returned a little over a week ago, yeea even then the Sox starters/bullpen were bad. Wallace has nothing to do with this, case closed
  10. We're kind of being realistic, maybe you didnt see my previous post but theyve been playing like a sub .500 team for quite awhile. Indulge me of how any of you Yankee fans are scared of this Sox team coming back in "2004" mode
  11. weei, taking it with a grain of salt but I could see him getting mad with himself
  12. If there is even a save situation, give Foulke not bleeping Timlin the save opportunity
  13. noonanberg... -- Jason Johnson was released after he lost the first game of the double header on Friday. Kason Gabbard will take the spot for now until Wakefield comes back -- Get Wily Mo out of the every day lineup? If he's the expected starting right fielder for 07 then he shouldnt be domoted to the bench altogether
  14. Torre feels sorry for the Sox pitching, throws out a lineup that has no Damon, Giambi, Posada
  15. They were already dead in the water when they got swept in the double-header
  16. They have been falling since the 12 game win streak had ended, they are just tired dogs laying on the porch on a hot sunny day while the front office begins prepping for the offseason This is no small slump in any means repeat post 4 game losing streak... to the Yankees... at Fenway Park (outscored 47-25) lost 11 out of last 15 games 16-20 since All-Star Break 6-13 in August worst ERA for any team in the month of August Schilling/Wells? only reliable starters Papelbon is only reliable reliever 9 game west coast road trip starting tomorrow 2004 this is not
  17. Apparently Hansen left the Sox clubhouse quick just steaming after having a "post game chat" with Terry in his office. Well kid only person you have to be mad with is yourself. Damn was hoping Youk would be in the lineup. That way he could lead off, giving Coco a much needed day off. Bonus points with Kapler's stats vs Lidle

  19. The Tigers have just traded for Cubs 2nd base/ss Neifi Perez, per rotoworld
  20. I put him down as a question mark because Ive been hearing a lot that Lugo will be one of the main free agents that they are setting their sights on. Its just a revolving door at shortstop, they cant make their minds up
