  1. Okkk in between that piss-poor Yankee start & the Tampa Bay start where tito left him in too long, he was dealing like he should (an ERA of a shade over 3)
  2. Game 1 Info: Series: Tied, 0-0 Date: Wednesday, October 11, 2006 First Pitch: 8:05 pm ET Venue: Shea Stadium, New York TV: FOX, FX Starting Pitchers: http://newyork.mets.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_213711.jpg http://newyork.mets.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_114849.jpg #36 Jeff Weaver 1-0, 0.00 ERA #47 Tom Glavine 1-0, 0.00 ERA --
  3. Its just going to be a Yankees' "spring cleaning" this offseason... Say goodbye to Arod?, Torre (hello PMS Piniella??), Mussina, Sheffield, Fasano, Wright, Lidle, Wilson
  4. Its just one Sox fan who posted this thread, so dont include everyone in on this. Its obvious that such a trade wouldnt happen. Furthermore, I shudder seeing Manny as a Yankee, and shudder to find myself relying on Arod to come through with a big hit
  5. How true, like for example... A shortstop who will be available after the 07 season is Mr. Michael Young
  6. Mike Myers making sure this offseason includes another "former Sox to NY" headline Boston Globe
  7. Mets are rooting for the Pods to storm back against St. Louis. Even with homefield, the Cards would have the edge over New York
  8. Game 4 Info: Series: Cardinals lead 2-1 Date: Sunday, October 8, 2006 First Pitch: 3:05 pm ET Venue: Busch Stadium, St. Louis, Missouri TV: ESPN Starting Pitchers: http://sandiego.padres.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_124315.jpg http://sandiego.padres.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_112020.jpg #17 Woody Williams 0-0, -- (12-5, 3.65 ERA) #29 Chris Carpenter 1-0, 1.42 ERA --
  9. Are you saying we cant root against the Yankees? Again I ask, how come its alright in Yankees poster's eyes to gloat about the Sox not making the playoffs/3rd place?? Its a rivalry, not a one-way street
  10. Any Yankee fans care to make a projection of what you would like the 2007 25-man roster to look like come opening day?
  11. Dont mind me, might be getting a little buzzed here but... did a Yankee fan just have the gaul to say??... Now thats the funniest damn thing Ive heard all day, a Yankee fan is pissed off & shocked that Sox fans are celebrating on a forum called TalkSox because their biggest rival (the uh Yankees) getting knocked out of the playoffs. Oh but its alright for some of them to taunt us because of the Sox's sharp decline in the 2nd half after being ranked as one of teh best teams in baseball. Yes we have a triple A baseball team as well. Only in the 2nd half when we had make shift lineups & pitching staff
  12. Game 1 Info: Series: Tied, 0-0 Date: Tuesday, October 10, 2006 First Pitch: 8:00 pm ET Venue: McAfee Coliseum, Oakland, CA TV: FOX Starting Pitchers: http://oakland.athletics.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_425146.jpg http://oakland.athletics.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_217096.jpg #29 Nate Robertson 0-1, 11.12 ERA #75 Barry Zito 1-0, 1.13 ERA --
  13. Im guessing one of the details will be voiding out Wright's 3rd year of his contract? I heard somewhere that NY does have that power due to him spending time on the DL in his first season
  14. Yankees, you hear Detroit's battle cry? http://youtube.com/watch?v=iikKzQwgBJc This team is done
  15. The kid is just plain dealing, 12 straight retired on 31 pitches
  16. Arrrrrrod... 1st AB as the #8 guy, swings at 1st pitch to ground out to 3rd base. Now he commits a throwing error. If Yanks lose, not out of realm of possibility that he could be with another team.
  17. I now owe $20 to my friend for all the right reasons!!! He said during commercial break: Watch it man, twenty bucks says Maggs will lead off with a HR right here
  18. Pods do a "Red Sox" double switch in the 7th with 2 outs Josh Bard at catcher Alan Embree relieves Chris Young who just had a stellar outing vs St Louis While Cla Meredith warms up in the bullpen...
  19. ESPN Ticker... A-Clutch has been dropped again in the order, he is now batting 8th Giambi is out of the lineup as well
  20. Today's Joe Morgan statement of the day...
  21. Just saw this on the ESPN ticker, while watching the Padres/Cards game http://us.news2.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/ap/20060924/capt.ccdc345ea2414ec4ab09226bc409bb48.diamondbacks_dodgers_baseball_lad106.jpg http://images.tsn.ca/images/stories/20060706/thome_85187.jpg Nomar Garciaparra, 122 games-- 142 for 469 (.303 avg) (.367 OBP) (.505 SLG) (.872 OPS) 31 Doubles, 2 Triples, 20 HRs, 93 RBIs, 82 Runs, 42 Walks, 3 SBs, 4 Errors Jim Thome, 143 games-- 141 for 490 (.288 avg) (.416 OBP) (.598 SLG) (1.014 OPS) 26 Doubles, 42 HRs, 109 RBIs, 108 Runs, 107 Walks
