  1. Dont have a link, sorry guys, the new pitching coach John Farrell has indicated that Matsuzaka is set to pitch the 3rd game of the season. That of course will be game 3 of a 3 game series at Kansas City. I guess the reason being the Sox dont want Matsuzaka's Fenway debut to also be the home opener, citing they want to tone down the frenzy as mcuh as they can. Whatever First 3 series of season (estimated) @ KC April 2- Curt Schilling April 4- Josh Beckett April 5- Daisuke Matsuzaka @ TEX April 6- Jonathan Papelbon April 7- Tim Wakefield (2nd year in a row he has had to start the season in a park that is his hell) April 8- Curt Schilling vs. SEA April 10- Josh Beckett April 11- Daisuke Matsuzaka April 12- Jonathan Papelbon

  4. sweet, 11 days and counting to see Matsuzaka pitch It is spring training, but seeing this kid pitch for the first time in a Sox uni on tv is adrenaline pumping into me!
  5. Get ready for these new changes to take precedence rotoworld
  6. This was a no brainer You cant let Samuel go while the secondary is still in rebuilding mode. And Graham, eh his best use for the Patriots was blocking... and the Pats can easily find someone who can do just as good a job. Graham will probably end up signing with a team like the Broncos. The Pats entering the 2007 season could have a nice toght end duo of Benjamin Watson/David Thomas
  7. The Dice-Man Cometh http://cache.boston.com/bonzai-fba/Globe_Photo/2007/02/16/1171649868_8854.jpg http://cache.boston.com/bonzai-fba/Globe_Photo/2007/02/16/1171649480_1515.jpg http://cache.boston.com/bonzai-fba/Globe_Photo/2007/02/16/1171649532_9891.jpg http://cache.boston.com/bonzai-fba/Globe_Photo/2007/02/16/1171649707_7002.jpg
  8. http://cache.boston.com/bonzai-fba/Globe_Photo/2007/02/15/1171571955_8525.jpg Wells is back with the Sox? And it looks like he has lost some weight http://cache.boston.com/bonzai-fba/Globe_Photo/2007/02/15/1171572110_0209.jpg http://cache.boston.com/bonzai-fba/Globe_Photo/2007/02/14/1171478508_1165.jpg http://cache.boston.com/bonzai-fba/Globe_Photo/2007/02/14/1171498725_2368.jpg Suck it all in A700 the last youve seen your fav player, Lenny DiNardo, in Red Sox gear http://cache.boston.com/bonzai-fba/Globe_Photo/2007/02/14/1171478508_5342.jpg
  9. I laugh hard ar roto's commentary... saying this was a bad move for Boston because he's a groundball pitcher Last time I checked he wasnt even being tossed around in the depth the Sox have in pitching this year. It went on to say it wouldve been better to dump rule 5 draft Nick DeBarr, why? This kid might show the Sox some good stuff to consider being in the opening day pen. Also that Breslow or Javy Lopez would be better options to dump. Personallyt both pitchers (especially Breslow) just have more upisde than DiNardo No loss here, at least he's out of the AL East for his own sake. Now Sox... Abe Alvarez is still with the organization, he's next to go please Hasnt he been in Pawtucket since 2004?
  10. I dont see him being a now consistent 30+ HR, 70+ Walk, 5+ ERA type of pitcher
  11. Damn Mo... This is really unlike his character rotoworld.com
  12. Wow dodgers fans are so one-dimensional, he is too good to duplicate 2006 numbers He didnt have the highest ERA on the team
  13. A roster move had to be made to officially get JD Drew on the 40 man. Paper work has been holding up I wish the best for DiNardo out west, he didnt have much of a future with Boston anyway so no big loss
  14. As of right now Im just putting them at tops in the division. The best in baseball is being really really optimistic
  15. Gee that was because he pitched mainly in Florida... the heat doing partial of the damage giving him blisters. Wait did he lead the team in innings this past season? Did he lead the team in games started? Didnt he turn out to be the lone healthy starter the Sox had? Im not saying he's gonna turn into a consistent 32+ start/200+ inning guy, but he proved that the sox scouts that he can be healthy for a season. If i were to guess his 2007 line: 14-18 wins, 3.95-4.20ish ERA, 180 Ks
  16. http://redsox.bostonherald.com/redSox/view.bg?articleid=182874 http://redsox.bostonherald.com/images/redSox/diceltp02142007.jpg Here Daisuke is throwing to his potential future battery mate, top catching propsect George Kottaras 25 other pics of him at spring training http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/
  17. Yea Pavano owns up to s***... wait didnt he hold out from the team about the car accident he was in?
  18. One decent year? The Sox didnt trade away premier talent because Beckett had a decent year and has a World Series ring. The guy has talent and is just entering his prime years. His 2006 campaign isnt going to be duplicated further down the road. He's too good to let that happen. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/6403/career
  19. If the Angels dont lock up K-Rod before he hits free agency, he will be Mo's successor
  20. Beckett made improvements on his HR prevention during the season. 1st Half 26 HRs 2nd Half 10 HRs
  21. True bosox, hopefully Pedroia is next. His number is still the unconventional 64
  22. Thanks for the pic Nate!!! My adrenaline is starting to flow, lets get this f***ing season started already Couple of notes from spring training: http://redsox.bostonherald.com/redSox/view.bg?articleid=182658&format=&page=2 Jon Lester has switched numbers from 62 to 31. Manny Delcarmen has switched numbers from 57 to 17. Also Papelbon will work on 2 pitches to add to his arsenal that he abandoned when he was the closer. He should then have change up, fastball, slider, splitter, curveball, and sinking fastball
  23. Haha didnt the Chargers extend his contract efter the loss to New England?
  24. Dr. James Andrew was the one who looked at Jonathan Papelbon and deemed his prognosis. He has a degree and I will believe him over blog posters any day of the week. There's no doubt in my mind if that wasnt the case, they wouldve kept Papelbon as closer to begin the 2007 season How many of thses physicians & anatomists have you talked to and spent endless time discussing (on a red sox pitcher no less), how many of them have actually met with Papelbon? How many of them know anything about the medical field in the national sports organizations?
  25. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/6467958 Mariano has stated that if he doesnt get the respect he deserves, his contract extended or resigned at end of year, he will move on to another team. Of course its obvious sometime a deal will be done between the Mariano & New York. Just odd to hear this coming from him. The 07 offseason will also include Posada entering free agency, and Arod has an out clause. He'll probably use that if he tanks in the playoff & the Yanks dont advance
