  1. Hmm 1. Lugo ss 2. Crisp cf 3. Ortiz dh 4. Ramirez lf 5. Helton 1b 6. Drew rf 7. Lowell 3b 8. Varitek c 9. Pedroia 2b
  2. True a mid 3's ERA is CY but only if it comes with a good number of wins. Example Roger Clemens' incredible 2005 season while just notching 13 wins because of the Astros' piss poor offense
  3. Roto's ERA predictions for the Sox & Yankees. No surprise he doesnt have Pavano listed New York Wang 3.88 Pettitte 3.69 Mussina 3.67 Igawa 4.97 Hughes 3.59 Boston Matsuzaka 3.41 Beckett 3.97 Schilling 3.70 Wakefield 4.19 Papelbon 3.48 Lester 4.97 We're in for a good number of pitching duels if comparisons for both staffs come even close to panning out
  4. I was thinking about the possibility of Helton's name coming up in talks with Boston. His bat would sure help solidify the line-up even more, his swing would do damage in 81 games at Fenway Park. Boston- Todd Helton, good chunk of cash considerations to help with his salary Colorado- Hansen, Delcarmen, Bowden There in itself while adding a 1st baseman slugger, they deal away young pitching. Lets see what happens...
  5. Sorry I guess I mustve forgotten he was on your poll. While yes it is rare for 25 year old relief prospects to still be in the minors.. still keep in mind he converted to a reliever from catcher while in the Sox minor league system. There in itself can explain somewhat why the Sox have been easing him along
  6. Edgar Martinez should be a mid-season call up and I guarantee he will make a good impact in the bullpen. Its seeming as if he's setting up to be the dark horse candidate. Eh the less buzz on him now, the more excietment it will be when he starts to prove himself up in Boston
  7. Actually just putting this in there thats all, Carpenter would have been a free agent after the 2007 season. I was just saying that the Cardinals didnt sign their free agent starts, not including Jim Edmonds which is ok to say. Suppan and Weaver were a very big part why they were a force in the playoffs.
  8. I fail to comprehend how in each of my posts Ive called out for a ban. Just a little exagerration. The one closes to calling a ban was when I said she's starting to appear no better than the Dodgers fans who were banned before her
  9. I said they didnt sign their free agent stars, sans Jim Edmonds. In no way was that a jab at Edmonds. I thought "sans" was another word for "except" or "not including"?
  10. Actually the Cardinals are in only "ok" shape for 2007. The way I see it, is that the NL Central will be tagged with title "Open Season". There is no clear standout The Cards havent been resigning their stars, sans Jim Edmonds. Their 2 top starters in the playoffs besides Chris Carpenter are now gone. Jeff Suppan is with the rival Brewers. Jeff Weaver is now with the Mariners. The current rotation is looking like Carpenter, Anthony Reyes, Adam Wainwright, Kip Wells and an undetermined 5th starter And 700 about Pedro... the Sox were concerned about his right shoulder I believe. This past offseason he had to get surgery on, you guessed it, his right shoulder. They knew this was coming and didnt want to hand over a 4 year $$ contract to a guy they knew would eventually break down
  11. Why should I care about what others think? Besides its been a loong time since me & him have had words with one another. Look at the date Jan 15, 2006. Its water under the bridge now. You went searching through past threads that far back? Pure definition of a troll, that is just sad. Jacksonian, I cant believe I thought you as an agonizing troll. I fully realize, that even though a Yankee fan, you are a delight to debate with on here
  12. I never said its as good as winning the World Series. You were mocking us Red Sox fans saying the Red Sox will again be playing golf in October. Even tho last year was the first times since 2002 that they missed out on the playoffs. I went to defend my team, nothing wrong with that Yea Im like a Giants fan... I just love rooting for a steroid inflated prick called Barry Bonds
  13. This doesnt mean whatsoever that the Sox farm is fledgling down to the Duquette Days. We still have promising players coming up shortly to try and make an impression on the Red Sox. Slated for mid-season or September debuts are Jacoby Ellsbury, George Kottaras, Chad Spann, Brandon Moss (better used for trade), and the promising reliever Edgar Martinez who will be Pawtucket's possible closer this season. And these are just the players who will be in Triple A. The Sox have a good outlook to the future
  14. Tick, tock.. you must not f*** with talksox.com's main guy You do realize that the Sox have had more recent trips to the playoffs than LA, right? Those unflattering points are just your opinion Ahem you said Im guessing Jack kills Curtis, and a nuclear bomb goes off. Yes I do believe thats giving away the ending of a shocker episode. How you could not expect a backlash from loyal 24 fans?
  15. http://patriots.bostonherald.com/patriots/view.bg?articleid=179281&format=&page=2 It will cost $7.9 million to place the franchise tag on Assant Samuel, for Daniel Graham it will cost $4.31 million Dillon's future is in doubt with the Pats Id really like to see him come back for one more season to complement the young running back Laurence Maroney
  16. Last time I checked, he wasnt a hack offensively for you guys. He was a key cog down the stretch just so you Dodger fans can see your team make the playoffs
  17. I was just about to say something concerning today's article http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/articles/2007/01/26/drew_red_sox_finally_connect/?page=2 Why mess with success? Manny helps Ortiz be more at the top of his game. Even if Drew is playing the way he should, Ortiz would set a new career high in walks batting 4th
  18. Hah wow no better than the Dodger fans who were rightfully banned before you
  19. You are a total loss --He went mid season from being an everyday starter to a backup playing different positions --He switched leagues mid season --He switched coasts mid-season I just keep laughing at your analysis that Julio Lugo is the same player he was for 164 ABs (a whole career for most players). But no not at all can he rebound to be the same player he has been his whole f***ing career
  20. Bingo, I also like his career .330 batting avg at Fenway Park. He should have a stat line like .280, 7 HRs, 65 RBIs, 110 Runs, 20-25 SBs
  21. Somewhat relating to the Sox/Yankees article rotoauthority.com
  22. http://www.boston.com/sports/nesn/tom_caron/ That didnt take long. Trot's #7 will be handed down to replacement JD Drew
