  1. Schilling sucks tonight, and hey his next game is against the Yankees at Yankee Stadium
  2. Oh that f***ing scared me if need be, at least the bullpen is rested enough
  3. schilling since that last inning against Baltimore looking very rocky, control problems
  4. There's no Drew or Ortiz tonight. Im just winging these lineups. Heres hoping Schill can deliver a solid outing while the offense behind him scores enough to win
  5. Wasnt sure if there is going to be a seperate game 2 thread, so heres the matchups There's no Drew or Ortiz tonight. Im just winging these lineups
  6. http://yankees.lohudblogs.com/2007/05/17/game-39-yankees-at-white-sox/ The Yankees will have yet another pitcher start a game. Sunday vs the Mets, making his major league debut will be Tyler Clippard The Sox will face the Yanks' best 3 starters, Pettitte, Wang, Mussina
  7. Just got back from home, sounds like i missed a good game 27-12, best in major league baseball Tavarez bounced back and just really held the Tigers bats at bay Offense did enough to get the game done. Papelbon notching his 11th save of the season, career save #46
  8. Ive always liked Gabbard and look forward to see what he can do against this Braves lineup. He did have his bumps with control, as all rookies tend to do, but still came out with a respectable 3.51 ERA in the majors. Here's his stats from Pawtucket this year. 8 starts (3-1, 2.75 ERA) 39.1 innings, 32 Hits, 13 Runs (12 ER), 5 HRs, 12 Walks, 35 Ks
  9. Im not that much confident about tonight's game but my optimism isnt dashed away that easily
  10. Too bad, sooo sad The yankees offense has been on downward slope this month Also of note, Phillip Hughes' return is not looking good as was expected, now doubtful he'll return before mid-June
  11. Coming from Sean MacAdams, he notes that Terry told him it will most likely be a starter called up from Pawtucket. Kason Gabbard, not Devern Hansack, seems to be the top candidate
  12. Baltimore lost and Yankees game has been postponed, we dont lose any ground
  13. why not pinch hit varitek here? Blah oh well then, cant win them all. All we gotta do is just move on to the next game. Tavarez has had some decent starts, Sox bats look to bounce back against Maroth who has been man-handled by the Sox
  14. 3 straight hits after 2 quick out, Tito looks pissed as he walks to the mound. Ifd anything as the trade deadline nears the Sox should try to swing a trade for a righty reliever capable of handling the 7th inning duties About Drew, um I can see anyone getting hurt from that kind of impact he had with that wall. So we can dash away those accusations at Drew for not being a team player, and DL risk (it was a fluke). The sound of it makes me jump. Murphy or Moss could get the call up if a DL trip is needed, of course the favorite tho will be Ellsbury
  15. Well Donnely is not doing such a hot job at keeping this game within reach
  16. Didnt Wily Mo last year hit .301 with 11 HRs, 42 RBIs... while trying to work through a wrist injury
  17. Whoah who said I hate Wily Mo?? Ive said before I dont like Crisp in center field and would rather see those ABs go to Wily Mo EDIT: I dont like this matchup of Wake against Mags in the 8th with 1 man on, Sox already down 4-1
  18. I would've liked seeing Wily Mo against Verlander's heater, but Coco Crisp 0 for 3
  19. God job Wake. He still went 7 strong innings, while allowing 4 runs in that one inning that he didnt have his best stuff. Cmon boys time to start connecting
  20. Is it that McGeary (spelling?) kid. I heard that he signed Scott Boras as his agent
  21. Great work guys, Mirabelli out on 1 pitch. Cora out on 3 pitches (4 pitches in his first 2 ABs), Lugo down on 4 pitch K. I know Tito wants to keep Cora's bat in the lineup evenly but a career .244 hitter is what he is. Eventually he'll settle down, which is what we saw in the 2nd half of last year We said the same thing about Guthrie and the O's against us on Sunday... still more time for Sox to come back
  22. nice, back to back nights where our catcher make web gem catches
  23. Haha runners (especially Ivan) should know not to try to score on Manny when he has the ball when youre at 3rd base
