  1. Cmon Sox youre facing a journey man pitcher named Buddy Carlyle, that name just screams out "Batting Practice" Tavarez this season on the road in 9 games, 3-2 with a 4.31 ERA
  2. All signs from weei and wbz radio, is that the Sox are bumping the other starters up a day so Lester can be called up
  3. Sweet the deadline trades are starting to churn out. I didnt think tho that it would be the Padres getting Barrett Heres another trade that took place today
  4. If it is long term then yea I would hope Theo would start calling around. If its short term (like in beckett's case) give Lester the call
  5. I can see you dont want Chamberlain to go Jacko. Because I saw them mention:
  6. Reggie Willits could also be a strong candidate for the AL ROY. For the NL its looking like the Astros' Hunter Pence stands tall
  7. Damn, Fogg settling down the Sox & Yanks in back to back fashion... who knew? 2-0, 2.25 ERA 12 innings, 11 Hits, 3 Runs, 3 Walks, 7 Ks
  8. Guys cmon he's a had a troubled past, so he should get a free pass here Good to see the NFL show these f***ers some actual punishment
  9. I was out cold at 830, had just such a bad migraine that I had to get some sleep. Of course Im wide awake at 3 am... and I dont start work until 8 Yesss Sox win 45-25, Whats that?... 9 game lead? Guys at work who've been fretting like pink hat fans will naturally be singing a different tune. Ive kept telling them that slumps happen and even the good teams will lose 65 +/- games. Sox have now won 7 out of their last 11 Beckett now up to 10-1. He has won the most games of any pitcher since 2005 (41), at this pace 20 is not out of the question. This is just a great year to see him pitch: plain & simple. I also knew that he wasnt going to let interleague get by without showing his bat off. He's got one of the best swings by a pitcher I have ever seen Coco's getting hits... he got hot like this in early may but cooled off, hopefully this is the turnaround for him this season. All the more helps. As for Lugo, should Tito try to give Cora extra playing time at short until Lugo finds his swing? I'll say that again that him and Pedroia are early contenders for gold gloves in their positions Bullpen pitched great in relief, Snyder has pitched much better than I expected he would this year thus far
  10. Beckett this season on the road in 5 games, 5-0 with a 1.59 ERA Hudson this season vs Boston in 2 games, 0-2 with a 9.00 ERA. At home in 9 games, 3-4 with a 4.34 ERA
  11. Schilling has allowed the most hits in the AL (108 Hits in 94.1 innings)
  12. Yea but Schilling said in a recent article that if the Sox approached him right now, he'd still sign with them for $13.5 million His fastball last 2 starts has been sitting in the Mussina range, 85 ish
  13. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/baseball/bal-perlozzo618,0,4533642.story?track=mostemailedlink Thanks for the Mother's Day victory!
  14. Im guessing the Sox will do the same as in Arizona: Youk, Lowell, Ortiz each receiving a day off. I'll edit the lineups when its announced. EDIT: Ortiz will receive the day off Schilling this season on the road in 6 games, 4-2 with a 3.40 ERA James this season at home in 5 games, 1-3 with a 3.08 ERA
  15. If only the lineup would hit him like Ortiz/Manny do, well that would just be something to see
  16. Fred Id be more comfortable if the Sox are able to swing a trade for another trusted setup man. Right now Tito just has 2 guys he knows he can turn to, Okajima and Papelbon
  17. He just got killed in another
  18. Hideki Gordon, i mean Okajima, back out to pitch. He should be given the day off tomorrow EDIT: Yesss Sox win, 44-24. Sox can still have 8.5 game lead heading on their road trip with a Yankees win. Naturally Im hoping El Duque sticks it to his former team Wake held back the Giants bats long enough for Sox to tack on a comfortable lead. He got the win (now 7-7) but at same time gave up 5 runs in 5.2 innings What is that? Run spport for Wake? Watch out baseball, Manny seems set to go on one of his nasty tears Im not liking Lugo On to Atlanta: Schilling vs James Beckett vs Hudson Tavarez vs Carlyle
