Like the Beckett deal, you are getting young all-star talent for young all-star talent. Texeira would give the Sox some comfort with his bat as Manny leaves after the 08 season.     The biggest upgrade from Wily Mo to Kielty is the defense (capable of playing LF, CF, RF, 1B ), even then he does have more of a consistent bat than Wily Mo does. He should have a good outing when he gets the D-Rays next at the Trop Another great outing by the bullpen, MDC capping it off with his first career save The Sox offense has held their own whil Ortiz has been sidelined. 35 runs over the last 4 games Tomorrow Doce-K vs Sabathia... now if Dice could just keep his walks down, he should be good to go

    There is no reason to acquire Torres. This season he bitched at the Pirates for being removed from the closer's role even though he had a 6.00 ERA... while in Boston he would be doing crap innings Tho keep in mind this is the same team that inquired about Troy Glaus when the Blue Jays were scouting Jack Wilson

    The Sox still have 28 of the next 64 games games facing Baltimore and the inept pitching staff that is Tampa Bay I was excited to see this news, and was hoping this wouldve been the move made. Lopez yes has options but the Sox are better with him as the 2nd lefty in the pen. This only makes the 2nd best bullpen in baseball even stronger
