  1. RISP... lets see if they took notes from the white sox
  2. 30+ pitches in the 1st inning... to the worst team in the AL at batting avg and runs scored And this is coming from our #2 guy
  3. It really is getting annoying. And heck you would think with vazquez pitching today... he'd be out there to get into a good groove starting off facing a pitcher he has f***ing owned. A good number of other days he has been held out, same exact situation with Vazquez. God willing 2008 is a bounce back year
  4. Sean MacAdamns of the Providence Journal did note that the Sox are interested in lefty Damaso Marte. As well as the asking price is too high for former closer Salomon Torres
  5. http://redsox.bostonherald.com/redSox/view.bg?articleid=1012187 Last year the Sox tried to unload Wily Mo on the Astros. they might do it again this year, probably to try and pry away Wheeler or Qualls On Buehrle, the White Sox wanted prospects such as Bucholz, Ellsbury and Lester. The Sox would prefer to give up prospects who arent "name" heavy such as Murphy, Moss, and Hansen
  6. I do agree with that, Lester isnt at full strength yet and methinks they need a veteran pitcher (playoff experience would be a plus) Hopefully this trading deadline is much better than last years version
  7. Most of the days Drew has been out have been when pitchers he has owned start the game. Its s***** outside, not sure if they can get the game in Vazquez this season on the road in 11 games, 4-2 with a 4.42 ERA
  8. As what I said in my post. A low tier prospect yes might be pushing it but its clear the Sox dont have room for him and definitely need to make an upgrade. An OF who can hit more consistently off the bench while displaying a good glove.
  9. "SchillingouttheKs' I just wanted to re-iterate last night. Ok teh plan was not to meet up with friends, but moreso a date, anyways long story short the bitch called me up and said she's not up to going out like ever. I was just in a pissed off mood, didnt want to talk to anyone (including posting on here). So I just had the game in teh background, while i watched die hard 4 online Whole-heartedly sorry for any confusion that was made BTW good read from teh Boston Herald that apparently last night's start might be the end of the tavarez experiment. Naturally Lester is the top candidate (he pitched and won last night as well) if the Sox decide to yank Tavarez now http://redsox.bostonherald.com/redSox/view.bg?articleid=1012193
  10. Oh well, at this point I'll take a low tier prospect for him. There was a time I was all for the Wily Mo era, it has soured as he has been a black hole this year. He can only get better with consistent playing time, thats not happening in Boston
  11. Long f***ing night, lots of drama (not just tonight's newest suck fest by the Sox). Going to bed after I post this. With Jim Bowden having a man crush on Wily Mo, I wouldnt mind seeing this trade Boston right handed reliever Jon Rauch http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/6620 Washington Joel Pineiro (cash considerations) Wily Mo Pena
  12. Make that 0 for 3 oK Im headed off to see a movie, hopefully I'll come back to see a W
  13. Im not that surprised really. I remember me saying last year that Pedroia is basically a younger version of Loretta
  14. How is a 4 game series at Jacobs Field easy? I was hoping the Sox would have a good homestand before making their way to Cleveland
  15. 1 for 11 last night with risp. First inning tonight and they are already 0 for 2
  16. Jerry on the lack of clutch hitting Ok Jerry... since June 1st they are batting a combined .234 with RISP. If its a temporary streak, it wouldnt be lasting for a month and a half. He's been saying the exact same thing since then, this team needs a fire lit up their asses to actually start gelling
  17. One of the few out there Id be comfortable giving up Ellsbury for
  18. Perez this season vs Boston in 2 games, 1-1 with an 8.02 ERA. On the road in 11 games, 4-3 with a 5.29 ERA Tavarez this season at home in 7 games, 2-4 with a 5.21 ERA
  19. Cmon man if the Sox trade for Mark Teixeira, especially if a Jacoby Ellsbury is involved, no doubt in my mind that they will not let Texeira hit free agency in 2008
  20. Jacko, you know as much as anybody... when you compare Reggie Sanders with Wily Mo as your backup, its a no doubter that Reggie is the better bet. Better glove and far better of a consistent hitter than Wily Mo is Considering its the Royals and its 39 year old Reggie Sanders, it shouldnt take much. Maybe a David Pauley type of deal
  21. That last out says it all about this team. I told my friends I wasnt sure about catching a movie tomorrow night, f*** it Im going to see Die Hard 4
  22. Here comes 1978 Redux
