    Sox should fall back? 33 of the remaining 59 games are against teams with sub .500 records (including 27 against Tampa Bay and Baltimore) Lets see how the Yankees do when August 15 rolls around... in a 14 game stretch (with one day off) the yanks will have to face detroit in a 4 game series, 3 at anaheim, 4 vs detroit again, and then a 3 game series vs Boston In that same stretch the Sox will be facing Tampa Bay, Anaheim, Tampa Bay, Chicago. And dont count out Seattle, they look to be in the running for the WC as well through season's end

Wakefield improves his season record to 12-9 and lowered his ERA from 4.74 to 4.59. The Sox are the only team in baseball with 3 pitchers who have at least 12 wins Tomorrow is Lester vs Shields. The D-Rays starter came firing out of the gate but has struggled mightily the last 2 months. His last start was the eventual 21-4 loss to New York

    Beats me Remember back when the Sox biefly had Andy Marte? They tried to deal him off to Tampa Bay for Lugo. The Sox quickly shot down Tampa's proposed deal of Andy Marte, Bronson Arroyo and a 3rd player

On the road in 10 games, 5-5 with a 3.62 ERA Hammel this season vs Boston in 3 games, 0-1 with a 5.07 ERA. At home in 6 games, 0-1 with a 4.74 ERA
