Wily Mo will be the starting left fielder for the Nats, and will bat cleanup or 5th
EDIT: Not sure why Tito sent Okajima out for the 8th inning. He had a nice 10 pitch inning, making him available for the 2nd game
Top of the order coming up and he's above the average pitch count in Pawtucket (79 pitches) Give the ball to the pen-- Okajima, Gagne, Papelbon
Swing and a miss, 5 Ks! Good job kid, see you again come Sept 1
Probably no call up for Ellsbury today. They cant go into tonights game with 1 catcher, so it might just be Dusty Brown from the Portland Sea Dogs. Kottaras is in Ottawa right now so no enough time to get him to Boston
He caught knuckleballer Steve Sparks in the Padres minor league system, plus there is one in Pawtucket named Charlie Zink. No reports on how well he catches it
I wish him well in Washington. Yes I know the year will come, probably 2008 where he has a breakout year and hits 30+ HRs. Still fully know that it couldnt have happened up in Boston where there is a logjam of outfielders. Also not a team that can give him the patience that is needed for him to thrive
I love it, the boos for Matthews. Dont make comments towards Boston fans and be surprised when you get booed each at bat for the series
Kid is buckling down, heck of a break on his offspeed pitches.... Sit the f*** down Matthews!!
Damn I wish I was there. I shouldnt complain too much, I was lucky enough to witness the major league debut of Jonathan Papelbon vs the Twins. That was the day of Manny's big hit on the trading deadline in 2005

No speculation, Ellsbury will be sent down after starting tonights game. He'll be back up Sept 1 when rosters expand
