  1. In todays boston globe, Tito has hinted to what the playoffs rotation is rounding to be like Game 1- Josh beckett Game 2- Daisuke Matsuzaka Game 3- Curt Schilling Schilling, game 3?
  2. Home from work. Last night I went to the game and didnt get back until 230 am, had to wake up at 630 this morning lol. So nup update at that time I must say even after the tough loss, Im feeling confident as ever. The three Sox starters stepped up for this series, silencing the tough Yankee bats. For any series of 3 starters to hold that lineup to 6 runs is pretty good Id say. If the Sox and Yankees do meet up again, this time the Sox would have Manny back. Might Ortiz have gotten a better pitch with just the image of Manny Ramirez in the on deck circle? Couple of highlights outside of the game -- I loved how they set up for the game to start. Clemens and Schilling warming up in the bullpens at the same time. As they are about to leave, the song "Final Countdown" starts playing. The bullpen doors open, both walk out and cross each other's paths. No word is spoke or even a glance -- Another fan decided to venture out on the outfield. After Hinske's double he ran to the infield, grabbed Cano's hat, and put it on as he ran toward the Monster. 2 security guards slammed him down to the ground, standing ovation enused for the idiot
  3. Honestly I rolled my eyes when I saw Gom stating that this by no means is a big series for the Yankees. It sure as hell is. If the Yanks didnt come back from behind last night, we'd be talking about New York looking at a 1.5 game lead
  4. I was able to be the top bidder for a single ticket for tomorrows game. Ill be sitting in the 3rd baseline, mmm right close by the Yankees dugout. "Roger" "Roger" chants aplenty, make sure to try & swindle my friends digital camera before i head out tomorrow
  5. Yesss Sox win, now 90-59. Back to 31 games above 500. The lead is back at 5.5 games and oh yea the Magic Number is now 9 Beckett stepped up and more, he now holds a glowing record of 19-6. His next 2 games are against Tampa Bay and Minnesota. Good shot as any to get a Cy Young award for his mantel Enough of this negativity, Ive done it and I hate myself for doing so. Theres a 5.5 game lead with 13 f***ing games to go. October is nearing and adrenaline is in the air, its f***ing on
  6. Ive always liked Bryan Corey. EDIT: Detroit leads 4-0 in the 1st inning. Yankees lead cut to 3 games in the wild card. Contrary to what Gom believes, last night was a big win for New York
  7. Ken Rosenthal says the Sox might want both Ellsbury and Crisp in the outfield next season
  8. Hinkse hits his 6th jack of the year!
  9. Im having some serious man love for a kid named Jacoby Ellsbury!!
  10. Ah like that certain 19-8 loss Sox fans know all too well, a game that would wake up a sleeping giant perhaps?
  11. So much for last night's rant by elsrbueno that Becektt is not an ace and he can not pitch in big games wtf, Tito says Gagne wont be used today? Last time I checked he hasnt been overworked, unless he is hurting again. The best asset he brings the Sox in the end, just might be the comp draft pick when he signs with someone else
  12. Ellsbury f***ing scores from 1st base!
  13. Ellsbury is a f***ing god So Gom, you were saying that the Sox pitchers dont match up well against the Yankees? Last 2 games Id say Boston's has outpitched
  14. Hey Sveum, Hinske's not a quick runner. Why have him run on contact, especially with Ortiz up next?
  15. He's at 93 pitches after 6. He's good for the 7th, if he has a 10 pitch inning send him out for the 8th inning as well. This is a must f***ing win Coco! Runners on 1st & 3rd/no outs
  16. Here comes JD Drew!! He's been on fire this month
  17. Ellsbury with the day off, Hinske in left field. Pedroia is leading off Wang this season vs Boston in 5 games, 3-2 with a 4.17 ERA. At Fenway Park in 2 games, 1-1 with a 6.49 ERA. On the road in 13 games, 8-3 with a 5.05 ERA Beckett this season vs New York in 4 games, 2-1 with a 4.47 ERA. At home in 16 games, 9-4 with a 3.98 ERA
  18. Injured during the 2nd half Schilling Wakefield Wells Papelbon Varitek Manny Ortiz (missed a week) Trot Nixon Alex Gonzalez The rotation had the likes of Jason Johnson, Kevin Jarvis, Julian Tavarez, Devern Hansack, Beckett on a down year. They didnt "pack it in", just about every player started getting injured one way or another. At that point all the Sox could do was fill holes with minor leaguers and whatever was left on the waiver line
  19. Theres a difference between counting out the team's chances in May (still time to make moves) compared to a depleted team in early September
  20. An automatic out at this point? He's been on one of his hot streaks this month. Sure as hell he will rebound to better years. Mike Lowell for example. For whatever reason he sank to a career low in 2005, he's come back nicely Id say
  21. Sox will finish 86-76, I loved this thread coming out shortly after the season started Best of all was you the fair weather fan counting out the Yankees back in f***ing May. Now youre acting all high & mighty, as if youve been by their side for every single pitch of the season
  22. Even so he is being overworked. Even his scoreless efforts as of late show him looking plain worn out. Its no help that Gagne has been a bust and hurt in his short stay with Boston. Will Tito give Gagne more chances or will he run Okajima out for more than half of the next 14 games?
  23. Damn dude ease up, after 1 game the last 2 games are already being marked up as losses? Do you even expect them to make the playoffs?
