  1. Facing Jesse Leech tomorrow with the kid Bucholz taking the ball, positive about tomorrow. Ok now Theo we all know you want to make a case that the move for Gagne was a good one. Cut the s***, he cant get any more chances when the Sox have a slim lead. The setup men should be Delcarmen/Timlin/Okajima
  2. The Detroit Tigers will be playing golf next month. I dont see them making up ground in time
  3. Im not worried about Papelbon whatsoever. IMO if Tito actually went to Paps in the 8th with 2 outs, he wouldve reverted to his old self
  4. How many games in the loss? Is it 2, 2 in the loss? Anyways, next 4 games Clay Bucholz vs Jesse Litsch Josh Beckett vs Scott Kazmir Daisuke Matsuzaka vs Andy Sonnanstine Tim Wakefield vs Edwin Jackson
  5. Tito said that the doctors have given him the OK. But now its all up to Manny on when he wants to come back. If he doesnt, I'll lose all respect for him if he actually bails out on the team in a tightening pennant race EDIT: Speaking of which.... http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20070917&content_id=2213925&vkey=news_bos&fext=.jsp&c_id=bos Manny's the Red Sox representative for the Hank Aaron award. Huh? Ortiz and Lowell easily trump the disappointing season Manny has turned out
  6. Great to hear from Don Tito said he wanted to experiment with Gagne. Yea 3.5 games up (soon to be 2.5) in the pennant race is the perfect time to experiment with a struggling reliever
  7. With Tek, Moss, Lugo batting in the 9th, most likely still against Burnett... sory guys Im pegging this one as a loss Losing 4 out of the last 5 games, 2 of which is on the bullpen
  8. f*** you Tito this loss is all on you
  9. Lester this season on the road in 6 games, 3-0 with with a 4.73 ERA Burnett this season at home in 11 games, 6-2 with a 2.56 ERA
  10. Im betting the Blue Jays will be a force next year. They just need that rotation to stay healthy, plus theyll be getting BJ Ryan back Roy Halladay AJ Burnett Shaun Marcum Dustin McGowan Gustavo Chacin
  11. Ok the gun in Fenway Park showed Schilling's fastball ranging from 88-91, I hardly believe Jacko that his fastball is now at the mid 80s (or lower). Schilling deserves a lot more credit than that. He has had to re-invent himself mid season, and he has been damn good since coming back from the DL. If he keeps pitching like he is down the strech, Ill gladly take it P.S. that wont happen every time of Okajima/Papelbon blowing the lead. Ooh thats twice now, trouble is afoot. Paps isnt like Foulke who's knees start to buckle (or PMS starts) when he has a blown save or gets criticized
  12. Sox should still take 4 out of the 5 games left on the road trip, entering the final homestand at 94-62
  13. Yes, Bucholz will be starting the 3rd game
  14. Oh ok cause just yesterday you declared the Red Sox the winners of the East, and congratulated us
  15. Rest of the road trip Jon Lester Vs Aj Burnett Clay Bucholz or Julian Tavarez (there should be no f***ing debate who get the start) Vs Jesse Litsch Tampa Bay Josh Beckett vs Scott Kazmir Daisuke Matsuzaka vs Andy Sonnanstine Curt Schilling vs Edwin Jackson
  16. The lead is now 3.5 games for the East
  17. Who's to say that wont happen in the clubhouse tonight?
  18. McGowan is pitching a great game, no doubt. I do think helping is that the Sox are tired (didnt get in until 4 am this morning), plus a game like last night might be hard for some of the players to roll off their backs EDIT: Bucholz warming up. Withe Dice-K getting bumped back from Wednesday to Saturday, Bucholz and Tavarez are the top candidates to start
  19. I bet he started drooling when he saw that Manny is still out, and Cora/Cash at the bottom of the order
  20. Damn boys, patience please... 19 pitches for McGowan in 2 innings
  21. Wakefield this season vs Toronto, in 4 games, 3-1 with a 2.77 ERA. At the Rogers Centre in 2 games, 2-0 with an 0.64 ERA. On the road in 14 games, 7-6 with a 3.96 ERA McGowan this season vs Boston in 1 game, 0-1 with a 10.80 ERA. At home in 11 games, 6-3 with a 3.45 ERA
