  1. A dream to have Santana, but good to know that the kids will stay in Boston a little bit longer
  2. Baltimore is such a joke and will be for quite awhile with no end in sight. Peter Angelos' business decisions leave little to be desired
  3. Not bad of a move and it only cost 2 single A relief pitchers that arent really talked about. Pending a good ST, Aardsma will probably knock off Snyder or Lopez and be in the opening day bullpen So far he could be the only new face on opening day
  4. The rumored package is said to be Adam Jones, Chris Tilman, George Sherrill or Jeff Clement and a 4th prospect. Not a bad bounty to get into their hands There is also a good chance that they could trade Brian Roberts to the Chicago Cubs. The name Ive heard the most is pitcher Sean Gallagher
  5. http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20080125&content_id=2355847&vkey=news_bos&fext=.jsp&c_id=bos Snyder will get $835K in arbitration. Youkilis is the only Sox player left to deal with. He is asking for $3.7 million, they are offering $2.5 million. Michael Silverman of the Herald said recently dont be surprised if the Sox do a 3 or 4 year extension in the near future for Youk.
  6. Odd because in 2006, lefties hit .250 off of him while righties hit better at .281. He might turn around again to being better than lefties in 2008. With middle relievers you never know
  7. http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/articles/2008/01/17/start_times_announced_for_opening_two_games_in_japan/ The start times for the two games in Tokyo vs the Athletics, March 25 & 26, will be 6:07 am ET. Feel bad for the Athletics fans as they will have to watch it at 3 am
  8. Kotsay will be a decent stop gap for the Braves The top candidates for a Coco Crisp deal are Minnesota, Oakland and San Diego
  9. Its not official until physicals are done and the commisioner approves http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3193566 Rolen to the Blue Jays. Glaus to the Cardinals.
  10. Damn Ryan Grant, how are you feeling right now? In the first minute/9 seconds he fumbles the ball twice. Seahawks have capitalized and lead it early 14-0
  11. Henderson is a no doubeter to be a 1st ballot inductee
  12. With the majority of sportswriters' disgust for Rice, Id be surprised if he's ever in the Hall now
  13. What a liar haha. He just got me believing more that he in fact did steroids. Hey Roger you got off easy in the interview with Wallace. Expect to get tougher questions from Congress. I really cant wait for that
  14. They havent done anything to improve the torrid pitching staff of last season. The offense will be good but not enough to carry them in the AL Central
  15. I take Manny in left over any of those career backups any day of the week
  16. The Patriots have been shut down in the 2nd half. Going for it on 4th & 7 when youre in field goal range already? Take the 3 and be up 31-7 with 9 minutes left to go Patriots win 28-7, but oh god what a piss poor 2nd half showing
  17. Wont Dunn be a trade candidate during the trading deadline? The Reds, even in the NL Central, dont stand a good chance of at least being competitive
  18. Two left fielders who will be free agents after the 2009 season (pending no extensions are made) Jason Bay and Matt Holliday Note: Im mentioning this in the scenario of the Sox picking up Manny's 2009 $20 million option.
  19. Schilling and Timlin are close to 100% goners after the 2008 season. Wakefield possibly. The Sox could very well end up picking Manny's 2009 option. Id love to see them get Mark Teixeira, but Im banking on Yankees giving him a blank check if he hits free agency. As far as starting pitchers go, Im sure the Sox will look into Burnett if he opts out of his contract Potential 2009 rotation if Santana & AJ are acquired Johan Santana Josh Beckett Daisuke Matsuzaka AJ Burnett Clay Buchholz
  20. The Steelers wont miss their running back who gave them 1316 rushing yards this season? IMO Davenport is solid but there is really nothing behind him on the depth chart. They have to bank that he will not go his career route, which is being injury prone.
  21. The possible trade destinations for Coco are now. Once Cameron signs, Crisp and Corey Patterson will be the top center fielders available Chicago White Sox Minnesota Twins Philadelphia Phillies Cincinnati Reds San Diego Padres
  22. Doube Post EDIT: I found this on mlb.com, wasnt reported on rotoworld
  23. So yesterday the Steelers have won the game but lost their team MVP for the rest of the season... Damn
  24. The deals for Mahay and Durbin are now official. Jenkins playing in Philly will definitely up his offensive stats.
