  1. Phew! Not an easy win at all. Sox are 1-0, onto tomorrow morning's game: Rich Harden vs Jon Lester
  2. Some more 2 out magic! Manny had a down year where had collected 88 RBIs. Good start this year with 4 after one game Its Papelbon time EDIT: Thank god for Brown's dumbass attempt for 3rd base
  3. Moss!! What a game for the kid First career dinger for the kid, what a way to get it
  4. Its now up to Lowell, Moss, Varitek to win the game
  5. Well that was pretty fast for Snyder to give it up. I was surprised to see him come in with a slim lead
  6. Moss taking advantage of his short stay with the big club!
  7. Beckett please stay healthy this year. Dice doesnt have the cajones to carry this pitching staff
  8. Dice-K still shrugging his shoulders and getting all impatient after allowing a solo homerun in the 1st inning. Blanton last season vs Boston in 3 games, 0-1 with a 4.66 ERA
  9. Cash did a very commendable job catching for Wakefield. Plus at 32 he is more durable than the soon to be 38 year old Mirabelli. The only negative is that he is an actual downgrade in offense Wake's back started to act up on him at the end of the year...
  10. He signed a 4 year major league deal in 05 when he was drafted. Anyone knows what will happen this offseason due to that?
  11. So theo, want to say again about how the media "spun" Coco's trade request?
  12. Papelbon is speaking like a little bitch, as if he is being dissed by the Sox because they are following the status quo. Im sure the Sox already marked down when to speak with him about possible extensions when the arbitration process begins. The Guardians locking up Sizemore and the Rockies with Tulowitzki (each 6 year deals) after their first official season could have set a precedent
  13. It wont take long for Duncan to be in the everyday lineup as the starting 1st baseman
  14. Yessss! I just knew those conflicting reports were nothing to be worried about
  15. Seeing the updates on roto is just like the Johan ordeal this past winter, just get over with it already
  16. So Gom's hope is that the Sox will have an opening day outfield of Ramirez, Crisp, Drew and Kielty... and the starting rotation will be Beckett, Matsuzaka, Wakefield, with the last 2 spots being occupied by Tavarez/Snyder/Colon/Pauley/Hansack
  17. Bright side for him is that he battled back to retire 6 of the last 7 batters
  18. These stats will be updated almost daily
  19. Lester stumbled out of the gate for his ST debut-- 1 inning, 2 Hits, 5 Runs (4 ER), 4 Walks Catching prospect Dusty Brown had a game tying HR to help the Sox come back from a 6-3 deficit. Moss drove in the winning run with a 2 out hit, final score was 7-6. David Pauley hurled 2 shutout Ws for the win and former Ray Jon Switzer got a 1-2-3 save These stats will be updated almost daily
  20. Actually Brendan Donnelly and Eric Gagne both showed up on the Mitchell Report, and Im still skeptical of Trot Nixon's offensive crash after 2003
  21. Agreed Jacko. Him signing an extension for below the market value put him in the bed he made. Theo has the best DH in baseball locked up for 4 years/$50 million. It is in the best interest to wait until '09 or '10 to determine his worth after he is 34 years old
  22. http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/baseball/red_sox/view.bg?articleid=1076763&srvc=sox&position=1 With him already locked up for the next 4 seasons (including 2011 option), this isnt a pressing need right now for the Sox FO
