  1. I think Lugo runs in this situation.
  2. Does anything still think Pedroia is overmatched in the batters box? Whatever happens in this AB I think he looks like he can hit MLB pitching.
  3. Believe me, I don't want Manny diving for anything but I understand why the Sox think about the possibilities of having an actual leftfielder. Not so much important in Fenway, but certainly in these large outfields he can look really bad. Hell yeah Josh. Nice pitch!
  4. Perez has been getting those calls tonight. Hmmm
  5. This could be the game right here for Beckett. Get Pena out when you can, 1-2 count.
  6. Of course I don't want to see him dive TheKilo, but I wouldn't mind seeing him hustle. He looks like he's playing LF in an easychair.
  7. He hasn't looked unsharp though. He has had a few too many walks but he has also overpowered a few guys and hasn't had very many hard hit balls. Knock on wood, of course. C'mon Josh, buckle down!
  8. Would Trot have had that ball? Drew's speed is impressive. As for Mosaic, I don't really like it either. Watching games on my computer is very frustrating but its not going to make me hate MLB. I think the game itself is pretty damn good, but they are walking on VERY think ice with me after the whole DirectTV thing.
  9. What the hell pitch did Perez throw Crisp? It looked like it had no rotation at all...
  10. Who's that chick playing LF?
  11. Go to MLB.com, you have to download the program and then run it outside of explorer or firefox or whatever browser you're using.
  12. I think the quality is better, actually (thanks for mentioning it, as I hadn't noticed you could choose). Very nice turn by Pedroia too.
  13. You mean the mosaic? I think it sucks.
  14. Hey fellas, if the Sox wouldn't go after Loretta why would they go after Cantu? I'm actually not totally against Cantu as a AAA option or backup guy, but if you can't win a starting job in TB you can't win one in BOS. Also, you'll be wrong about Pedroia. He's a good 2B and will show it over the course of this season.
  15. I've always suspected it, but now there's proof. Jacksonian, you have WAY too much time on your hands.
  16. Can't you just turn to your right and tell Big Papi about our struggles? I'm sure he would help out if he could.
  17. Personally I think this whole thing is a huge f***ing joke. Excuse my language but I (like many of you) have been a faithful MLB fan for a long time. I paid my 150 or whatever it was for EI, PLUS my 15 a month or whatever for MLB.TV. I can't put up a dish at my apartment building and I don't think I should have to move just to watch baseball. MLB Mosaic is a joke, it continually freezes and the pictures are crappy. I have a high-end computer and it is slow to load too. Plus, who really wants to watch a game on their computer anyway? I think it is craziness and pretty inexcusable by MLB. One of my favorite pasttimes was coming home after a long day of work and flipping back and forth between 7 or 8 games at once, watching my fantasy guys, etc., Now it is like pulling teeth and I can't even come online to comment at the same time very easily. I hate it that I'm addicted to baseball, otherwise I'd tell them to F* themselves and become one of the 200 million people who have already dropped the sport in favor of football. (sorry, I'm grumpy!)
  18. If healthy it will be better than last year. Chalk that up! EDIT: not that they will be GOOD, simply better. EDIT2: (to avoid triple posting!) Does anyone else wish that when baseball started we could just put our jobs and lives on hold for 6 months? I could sit here all day and type crap to you all and watch game after game. I've only watched about 5 minutes of the NCAA Championship game. It's opening day for crying out loud.
  19. Because I thought he was at least out of the game. Bonds has received plenty of my ire already, but Sosa is a recurring mole in this game of whack-a-mole. If Sosa comes back and sucks then that's fine, its his own image. But if he comes back and is successful then it is an (additional) tarnish on the game. God forbid he hit 50 HR this year. John Lackey needs to get over himself. Yes, crappy defense can kill a pitcher's outing but he looks like a pissed off teenager out there right now.
  20. Again, he pitched better than any sox starter in Spring training. We HAVE seen him pitch worse (think '05 return from injury) and I think that if anyone can make the necessary adjustments it is Curt Schilling. Also, let's not pretend that this KC team is the same s***** team that played last year. Between Sweeney being back, Shealy playing 1B and Gordon hitting 5th this isn't a bad lineup (at least on paper). Today they certainly looked adequate.
