  1. Raiders 7 Pats 3 - Just an update if you are not watching.
  2. Well that artical is pretty convincing. The only problem is when the estimate the "would be" distance they use a formula that includes angle, speed off bat, wind, ect. The 502 number is that the distance from the plate to the chair? I would assume without the bleachers there and the ball was allowed to travel to the field level ground than it would have gone somewhat further. Unless they estimated the 502 distance guessing how far it would have gone.
  3. That home run was estimated at 501.4 feet. Very very interesting that even an independant source from the Red Sox put that HR at 501.4 and not 502.4. Yes Ted Williams is a hero, but in my belief it will hurt his legend if they protect his 502 foot bomb with lies and cover-ups.
  4. Oh so he talked about it for 15 mins. I thought it was something more elaborate (sp?) than that.
  5. What the heck happened to Rem-Dog? What is he talking about?
  6. See that! Let's have some faith in our guys. Instead we bash them until we're red in the face. Keeeeeeevvvvvvvviiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnn Mmmmmmmmmiiiiiiiiiiillllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllaaaaaaa........
  7. I was going to say that!
  8. They talk about Ted Williams home run all the time. The red seat shot at 502 feet. Is there any video evidence of this event? I did read an artical about Manny's shot that went through the lights. This guy that is independant from the Red Sox used his computer program to measure Manny's home run at 501.4. WOW how deep does this go? Instead of calling this deep-throut we will call it deep-hit
  9. I rewashed my shirts with this special stuff my mother in law had and it's white again. I'll be sure to wear them in the future!
  10. Lame crowd up until top of 7th inning and peaked with Pappi's walk-off. Thank you to SFOC for the tickets, my guest's and me where and are very appreciative! talksox.com t-shirt didn't work out so well. The red arms of the shirt bleed after washing them and turned the white body of the shirt pink. I put them back in the washer, but they where not ready for the game. If the pink comes out I'll wear them to the next game I go to (when ever that might be).
  11. True, true, true! I agree the art of using words in their correct manner is all, but gone in young people today. I run a teen center and I'm contantly hearing "stupid" s*** like this. I do have to agree with BigPappiEnFego (sp) that teachers picketing is stressful on our young people. I believe that teachers get paid just about what they should. I personally work a 8 hour day without a break as the Director of a Teen Center. I make a lot less than a teacher, but I would never think about picketing because if I wanted to make lots of money I wouldn't work in this field. It was their decision to become a teachers, no one forced them. I do think it would be nice for teachers to have better tuition re-embursment(sp) programs to help with paying back student loans.
  12. He was my hero! I was at the game last night and it was actually kind of boring until the 7th or 8th being a tie game. The crowd wasn't into it ect. Then Pappi woke up that sleeping crowd to a huge ovation! I almost knocked over like 10 people when I jumped off of my seat.
  13. Your a moron as well. If you read the whole post it also shows TEK's career "catcher" ERA, of which he is ranked 11th since 1992. What more do you need to know, that stat tells it all.
  14. WTF was that all about? What kind of film is it anyway?
  15. Jason Varitek is 11th since 1992 in catcher ERA, he is the teams captain, excellent defensive catcher, and below details his stats this season in terms of league rank amongst catchers. Runs - 3rd Hits 6th 2B - 2nd 3B - T-3rd HR - 1st RBI - 2nd BB - 5th Avg. 3rd OPS - 2nd Bash TEK... WHAT AN *******!
  16. FYI, for the years 1992-2002 the BEST CERA (total/avg) during this period for catchers recording over 1000 innings, the top 29 are: INN C-ER CERA Catcher 1162.3 387 2.997 CARTER GARY 1772.0 624 3.169 SCIOSCIA MIKE 2406.0 872 3.262 OLSON GREG 2322.7 869 3.367 PEREZ EDDIE 8055.7 3170 3.542 LOPEZ JAVY 2539.7 1011 3.583 LAVALLIERE MIKE 2897.3 1201 3.731 BERRYHILL DAMON 2164.0 901 3.747 SURHOFF B.J. 11104.3 4675 3.789 PIAZZA MIKE 3785.7 1619 3.849 MILLER DAMIAN 4237.3 1814 3.853 VARITEK JASON** 4858.7 2096 3.883 PENA TONY 2528.3 1097 3.905 PRATT TODD 1175.3 513 3.928 BIGGIO CRAIG 3635.3 1594 3.946 HERNANDEZ RAMON 2892.3 1280 3.983 HERNANDEZ CARLOS 5676.0 2516 3.989 PAGNOZZI TOM 10144.3 4508 3.999 SANTIAGO BENITO 1349.7 600 4.001 FISK CARLTON* 8356.0 3724 4.011 HUNDLEY TODD 3496.3 1564 4.026 WEBSTER LENNY 1499.0 674 4.047 DECKER STEVE 4608.7 2076 4.054 DAULTON DARREN 2177.0 986 4.076 PARRISH LANCE 4031.3 1832 4.090 EUSEBIO TONY 5666.6 2580 4.098 POSADA JORGE - Yankess Suck! 2391.3 1090 4.102 LODUCA PAUL 3457.7 1580 4.113 HARPER BRIAN 2273.0 1039 4.114 MARRERO ELI Above was copy/pasted from baseball-fever.com **Looks like TEK ranks 11th in ERA for catchers since 1992, not to shaby seeing that pitching hasn't always been the Red Sox most important feature.
  17. WOW I am very surprised. I wonder what "put us behind the 8 ball" meant? They are going to get so much love anywhere they go!
  18. I would think the league would not allow this due to the unfair advantage the home teams would recieve over the other teams in the league and their respected division. They will play at one of the mentioned sites for sure!
  19. I can't wait until Tuesday to be at the game. I love going to Fenway.
  20. They are playing 30 games straight! Is it more important to be sure to have every guy playing on a team with a ton of bats or rest some guys to be sure they are healthy enough for the stretch run? TEK being out of the line-up isn't all that bad seeing that we have so many bats. Even with TEK getting to sit out every 5th day with Wake pitching he is still above avg for at bats vs. other catchers in the league.
  21. Maybe it has something to do with this...
  22. I wonder if they will give Tek off tomorrow as well in order to give him 3 days rest with Wake to pitch on Tuesday?
  23. It's a new Red Sox rule that every pitcher must hit a batter during a game!
  24. Well have to watch out for the T-Shits!
