Unless I missed something we only have 1 stolen base in the last month? Other than that I think things are looking good IMO, yes we are not producing runs like we normally do. IMO I believe the "slump" has been due to several factors. This time of year small ball is a big part of the game and we have NO small ball, we are leaving a lot of guys on base - their getting on base, we just can't drive them in, obvisouly no stolen bases are a problem, ect.
I said it in the game thread tonight and I'll say it now. Have faith it's never as bas as people make it out to sound. Ya the Yankees took 1st from us, but they are playing GREAT baseball right now. We however are only playing mediocure (sp) ball. If we can step up and play like we can we'll be OK.
Bad news - Clevland plays a team with nothing to play for (White Sox).
Good news - The sox win 2-3 we play-off with Yanks, but if we sweep we are in. So we all know what's going to happen... The play-offs start early this year!
