  1. Between the pitching staff and guys like Pedroia and Youk, in 2007 I think I could have been the starting right fielder and the Sox still would have won.
  2. How can we PM you if the database is down? :harhar:
  3. Is anyone else really disappointed that Tim Salmon retired a few years ago? I wish he could have stuck around, Salmon and Trout on the same team would have just been fun. Sigh...sometimes life just doesn't give you what you need.
  4. This reminds me, in a week or two I am going to be officially promoted to 'driver captain' at work. There's no extra money, but there's extra responsibility. The best kind of promotion! I keep telling everyone to start calling me 'Captain' or 'sir', but they all think I'm joking.
  5. Definitely.
  6. If I stopped going to message boards, it would be because of people who joined them and immediately started calling people idiots. Bye.
  7. A werewolf! I've been saying it for weeks! Also, he's a great option for 4th OF.
  8. Jose Bautista is leading in home runs and OPS. But aside from home runs, he's not hitting much else. Adrian Gonzalez has slightly more than half as many HRs and yet has more XBH and nearly 30 more hits overall, not to mention a healthy lead over Bautista in RBIs. I think the race will come down to these two, but considering Bautista ran away with the HR title last year and didn't win, I don't think the race is as one-sided as you seem to think. Remember in 2006 when Morneau won it, when almost everyone thought there was no competition for A-Rod? Hell, I'm a Red Sox fan and I STILL think A-Rod should have run away with it that year. There's no telling, and personally I think Gonzalez still has a hell of a chance based on the categories that he's leading Bautista in.
  9. Quick list of categories in which Adrian Gonzalez is leading the majors: RBIs, hits, total bases, doubles, and extra base hits. Quick list of categories in which Adrian Gonzalez is in the top five: AVG, OBP, at bats (fifth if you count two players tied for first and two tied for second. If you don't, then he's seventh), intentional walks, and plate appearances. He's sixth in SLG, OPS, and runs. Quick list of categories created this season specifically for Adrian Gonzalez in which he is leading: Motherf***ing awesomeness So...when do we seriously start admitting that he's on his way to being the MVP?
  10. Where would this team be without Aceves? He's awesome.
  11. They're really making Niemann work. Varitek took a lot of tough pitches there.
  12. Bumping to put the gamethreads in the correct order.
  13. The Jays have done all of this with only 5 XBH, all doubles. 15 singles. 16 runs. That's efficient ball right there.
  14. Every team that isn't the Red Sox sucks. Can't someone not roll over for New York?
  15. I am so happy to see Colon finally pitching like he's supposed to, and has for the last few seasons he's played. This game has to be the one that breaks the floodgates back to his normal suck. Also, haha the Yankees are losing wooooo
  16. It took you an entire half-inning to switch to another channel?
  17. Who was coaching third tonight?
  18. If you discuss a subject with Asdrubal Cabrera, he'll insist on dropping it. Twice.
  19. Is Tim Bogar coaching third for the AL?
  20. He's leading in two of three Triple Crown categories, as well as in hits. I think so. He's making a very good case for overall MVP, if his second half is anything like his first.
