First of all, way to miss the point. You are the lowest of the low to a Red Sox fan on a Red Sox message board, mainly because we have a critical, (and some might say disheartening?) lack of murderers, pedophiles, rapists, and terrorists on Talksox. (Especially since Gom was banned. Which one is he? I'll let you decide!). Second of all, way to Godwin a baseball game discussion. You might be the first person in the history of the internet to do so. Third of all, you started all of this by accusing a Red Sox fan of trolling because he made fun of the Yankees on, once again, a Red Sox message board. Pi (3.1415927th) of all, certain other posters probably should have dropped it instead of cursing at you, but as I said, you kind of brought this on yourself. Fourth of all, I seriously doubt any member of this board would beat a fan of another team into a coma, (Well, except me, but in my defense that 8-year old kid was being a total douche) so accusing us of being as bad as those Dodger fans is just stupid. Besides, I think we can all agree that we would much rather be compared to Nazis than Dodgers fans. At least the Nazis stayed around until the end of the war, AM I RIGHT? No but seriously folks, what is the deal with airline food? Fifthly, (That's right, bitches, I MAKE WORDS AND THOSE WORDS BECOME LAW) and finally, remember you are a Yankees fan on a Red Sox site, here at the whim of moderators who hate everything you stand for, and no matter how cool you are as a person (hint: Not that much), you will always, first and foremost, be a Yankees fan, hovering somewhere between "dead raccoon decomposing underneath the front porch" and "projectile vomiting passenger next to you on airplane filled with screaming babies" on the insufferable annoyance list. Nothing said about the Yankees on this site is trolling. If there was a Yankees logo on the top page of this site, we would all be giant trolls, but then, none of us spend the bulk of our online baseball time on a Yankees site, because we aren't Yankees fans. No matter how much someone insists on wanting to talk baseball with rivals or being a friendly opponent, there is only one definition for someone who joins an opposing team's message board and makes as many posts as the Yankees fans here, and that definition is 'Giant *******'...wait, no, sorry, it's 'Troll'. In conclusion, be quiet.

Yeah I have 7 player shirts, one for each day of the week. In fact, they are the only non-work shirts I own. I have Lester, Youk, Pedroia, Ellsbury, Papelbon, Beckett, and Varitek. I also have a Saltalamacchia T-shirt, which says Saltalam on it, and a Mexican gentleman I hired to walk next to me holding a small sign up to my shoulder that reads "acchia".

I think in the end it's going to come down to Hosmer or Pineda, depending on if Pineda bounces back from his rough stretch. I suppose Hellickson or Ackley are possibilities, but I would guess it's going to be Hosmer.

We've had people post Gamethreads when their only previous post is their intro thread. No one will bother reading the sticky-d rules thread, no one ever does on any message board, ever.

Gotcha. I kind of assumed that, seeing as if you could leave the field to make a catch there would be no need for any walls, you could just paint a line on the ground and call anything that lands beyond it a home run. I only wondered sometimes because, particularly at Fenway, there seem to be a good amount of HRs into the bullpen that could have been caught with a simple lean, just like guys do with fouls into the stands. I was discussing something today with a coworker and wondered if anyone knew the rules regarding this: We've all seen amazing catches to rob people of home runs (scaling a wall, et cetera), but in places like right field at Fenway where the wall is low,it brings up an interesting question that I've always wondered. If a batter hits a fly ball, once the fielder is really sure it's going into, say, the bullpen at Fenway, can he just jump the short little wall and stand in the bullpen to catch it? Or is that considered different than just leaning or falling over the fence?

It would have been better to leave Wake in.

I trust that CD can handle things. If he hasn't banned anyone for 'attacking' you, then there was no reason to. Also, just so you know, there is a huge difference between people personally attacking you and you bringing things on yourself. Nothing anyone said has been false. This is a Red Sox message board, and you were perfectly fine for a couple years. Then, all of a sudden, the Guardians start to play even the slightest bit better, and now you have a "Josh Beckett is a douche" avatar and have to be constantly reminded not to troll RED SOX gamethreads.
