I can see how that makes sense. But like I said, Francona doesn't have a lot to work with in the outfield. He's got Crawford, Ellsbury, and then what can be charitably described as 'a bunch of guys'. He needs another outfielder, and that's not on him, that's on the FO. I am sure they are going to do something about it by the deadline, but for the moment his options are limited, and he's taken the team from a horrid start to the second-best record in baseball with those same options. Gotta give him credit for that.
