  1. If you mean he won't give up any hits, you're crazy. If you mean he won't hit any batters...well, that's equally unlikely.
  2. Completely off topic, but you should post more. The username and avatar? Thumbs up.
  3. Will Middlebrooks is pretty cool.
  4. Aviles concerned about this game now.
  5. Doubront is dueling Nolasco...like Alexander Hamilton.
  6. Seriously. He's been unbelievable.
  7. I can't wait until he gets sent to prison for roughing up a guy to get some memorabilia back.
  8. No way they DFA Youk. They may trade him for what essentially will amount to trash, but no way they just get rid of him without getting something, anything, in return.
  9. I had to look that up. You really got my goat.
  10. Alright, you win that round. I'm going to hoof it over to the OffTopic forum.
  11. "Scape" Also, I doubt they get rid of him.
  12. That means two guys have to get on base in a row. These guys aren't magicians, you know.
  13. 6IP, 3ER. Normally that'd be decent, unfortunately Cy Dempster is shutting down the offense
  14. I am getting a little sick of this.
  15. You know what else college kids with horseshit taste like? Dane Cook. And if there is anything worse than Keystone Light, it's Dane Cook. Oh man! As I was typing that I realized I have finally hit upon the perfect execution method for Dane Cook. Drowning in a vat of Keystone Light! It's now going on top of the list, ahead of "stabbing in the throat with George Carlin's sharpened femur" and "being forced to listen to his own act on a loop as he starves to death, both physically and mentally"
  16. Nah. I set it off inside a cooler filled with Keystone Light. My name is on a plaque by the door now.
  17. Seriously, that PM was a little over-the-top for a reaction to this particular discussion. It reminds me of that time I ended an argument in a bar about beer preference by detonating a hand grenade.
  18. Yes, please screenshot or forward that PM to me, ells.
  19. I'd rate this slightly above "me being selected to go to space" and slightly below "Lucy Liu delivering herself to my doorstep in leather" on the list of improbable events. You should definitely bet though, I'm sure the odds in Vegas make the risk worth it. 1 dollar at eighty-octillion-to-one odds, you'd clean up.
  20. Blanco's catch was great, but not spectacular. It was a long, low fly. A half-second more of a jump by Blanco when it hit the bat and it's a normal rundown. Cain struck out 14. No way any game played that day was better. Dickey's game was good but nowhere near as good.
  21. Exactly. I hate listening to people complain about every bad signing, or signing they see as bad. Lackey, Crawford, Scutaro, Drew, Lugo, Renteria, et cetera. Yes, guys sucked. Lackey was awful. Dice-K was not worth the money. But the question I ask myself all the time while I silently listen to people complain is "Did anyone think these guys were going to be this bad?" I was happy the Sox signed Lackey. When he sucked, I was pissed that he sucked, but not pissed at the Red Sox, pissed at John Lackey. No one signs big free agents thinking "Man, this guy is going to suck SO HARD. I'm a genius!". I never blame the front office for bombs when the guys they signed are guys with a history of success. The only time I get annoyed is when they sign guys who you can tell have a better chance of failure than success, due to age or infirmity. Guys like Mike Cameron.
  22. There are not enough languages in the world to say 'no' in. Imagine me saying 'no' in every existing language, every extinct language, every fictional language, every variation of sign language, telepathically, and in Morse Code.
