  1. I do. I'll trade u Beckett straight up for her.
  2. Beckett is available.
  3. Nothing really, no offense lol. Should have been more sensitive. I have no problems with Canadians. I just needed an insult to express my rage towards him; first thing that came to mind. I can't believe I was actually disappointed that Ca$h missed out on him last year and let him end up in Boston. silly me...
  4. nor is Jeter. Regardless of who is or isn't on that list, nothing you say Kilo is going to change MY mind about where Youk ranks among all active position players. I gave him his due props, but I'm not going to anoint him MVP, or HOF worthy just yet.
  5. Yeah, I was pissed during that run. Everyone thought he was better than Mariano. Turns out he was just juiced up. f***ing Canadian!
  6. http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/gravitygraffix_1992_18773394 hahaha Sorry, after seeing this picture I couldn't resist.
  7. Amen. Most notably for me, the one that still irks the s*** out of me is Palmeiro winning that 1997 gold glove after playing n only 14 GAMES at first base, while Tino Martinez, the deserving winner got screwed.
  8. They were still rookies though. And Uggla was a Rule 5 pick. Inexperience and uncertainty play a factor (just look at the Yankee pitching this year). He did a damn good job that year. Appearantly I'm not alone, just ask the BBWAA.
  9. He's an outstanding player, but I wouldnt say top 20. Easily top 50, possibly top 40. I think I would be more favorable towards him if he shaved that ugly ass beard. http://www.mlb.com/images/2004/05/15/XG6K9Zpf.jpg Here is Youk in 2004 clean-shaven and with some hair. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/183/486949646_d8c2b7de0f.jpg Here's Youk as we know him now, with no hair and a beard. http://www.survivinggrady.com/uploaded_images/youkfing-787801.jpg Here's Youk with neither hair nor a beard! completely irrelevant, but hey, I get bored. I also think it's interesting how one's appearance can dictate the way you look at them. Not that it has anything to do with how he plays on the field, but back when he came up he was one of the few Sox I liked watching because of how gritty and hard he played. When he cut off that hair and grew that beard I just kinda thought of him as an *******, I think it sort of gives him an arrogant demeanor. Nevertheless, hair or no hair; beard or no beard, he is a hell of a player.
  10. Can't disagree with you there. Forgot about that. Absolutely! Was this during a Fox game that he did? Otherwise why would he be calling a Sox game in Cleveland? I always enjoyed listening to him on YES. Either way, that's one game. Not much of a barometer. I'm sure that's not the only basis for your opinion, but I can't help but disagree overall. I'm not saying he was perfect all the time, but considering he has limited experience in the booth, I think he did pretty well when up there. Whatever though, agree to disagree.
  11. What!? Season is long my friend. That's why they play 162. People are already projecting the demise of the Yankees, but we aren't even a month in! This happens every year with at least a few teams. It's rather humorous.
  12. Kings of Swing, I've had an offer out to you. Get back to me. ARod2212, I canceled the offer I made to you.
  13. Because with the exception of McGwire none of them have reached the 5 year waiting period?
  14. Baltimore on April 7th. I was at that game, where A-Rod eventually hit the walkoff grand slam in the bottom of the 9th. He looked HORRIBLE
  15. I would vote for both of them. I'm firm when it comes to not relying on statistical analysis for every little thing in this game, and HOF consideration is one. That being siad, they both have numbers for serious consideration, but some stat geeks might say that it's not enough to push them over. I am not one of them, I would elect both of them. Which ballot they get in on is a different story.
  16. Yo why are you being so ignorant? What do you expect us to do, just say "gee, let's let IPK just keep at it." When a player isn't adequately performing, you need to look to an alternative. Igawa's the best thing we have right now, what are we supposed to do? We pinned our hopes on Aaron Small and Shawn Chacon in 2005 and look what happened. You have to work with what you have, and all things willing it might work out. If it doesn't we move on to the next option. I'm glad it amuses you though.
  17. Well it won't be for pop off the bench. If he were willing to play part-time he would still be in Toronto. Interesting to see which of the 14 AL teams would give him a shot, because I'm sure as hell that no NL team is going to let him play first. I wouldn't even be surprised if a NPB Pacific League team went after him. He could make some money over there, for himself and his team.
