  1. I just cant stand them, the name, the jerseys, the fans, the team. Just something about them that I do not like very much.
  2. lol, I was about to call you a "liar" ..until I saw the bottom lol
  3. Me Too
  4. Also, if you dont still have my address from the ticket giveaways, PM me and I will give it to you again.
  5. Cape, after the countless PM's you sent me reminding me to submit an entry for this thread I have finally decided on something. Now if you feel the price is too steep, feel free to substitute my entry with anything you would like. Now anyways, my item is a 14KT solid gold Yankee pendant. (Interlocking NY) The reason for my selection is that when I was younger, in the 3rd grade I believe, my uncle bought me a gold Yankee pendant and one day the chain that I was wearing it on broke outside while I was on the playground at recess and I lost the pendant, something I have regretted since. It had very sentimental value, as my uncle is like a father to me, so it would be nice to have another one, even if it isnt from my uncle. here is the Link Thanks a lot Rick Favorite fast food is a small chain called Checkers. It is a drive-up "burger-joint". I'm not sure if you have them in New England (as they arent as common as say McDonalds or Burger King) so here is a link: http://www.checkers.com
  6. definately unfair to accuse a guy like Huff of using steroids...but you never know, like for instance, how many people here actually thought that Wally Joyner used steroids (all be it for just a total of 2 days, he still used), because I sure as hell didnt. if you claim to have thought that Joyner was a steroid user, you my friend are a LIAR
  7. what did I miss, what about Andy Phillips??
  8. exactly. if he was still in Montreal he would just hold on to Huff and Baez, but now that hes with the Mets in the biggest market in the world with a HUGE budget hes going to go after the high profile guy.
  9. I have to disagree, Cox won the division with 487593908347447430 rookies this year
  10. good point ...But Omar is fixated on having superstar latinos in Queens
  11. another thing to be upset about is that Joe Torre missed out on manager of the year to (I think) Guillen (could have been somebody else, the radio was staticy when I heard it) and then if A-Rod loses out on monday to Ortiz then that one just tops it all off. The Angels bullpen did not blow a save for him once this year, so if you give Santana the Angels bullpen and Colon the Twins' pen then this discussion is not taking place ....I still wish Rivera won it ...I think he gave up like 1 erned run on the road all year (could be mistaken, but im pretty sure) and blew like 2 games from the 4th game of the season until the end of the season (I believe, but I could be mistaken, I dont think so though), pretty amazing if you ask me
  12. butwhat if Foulke has a bad year again, Hansen and DiNardo are unabe to compete under so much pressure with so little experience, abd Timlin has a so-so year. You know what you have then, you have the 2005 Boston Red Sox bullpen (feautiring a slightly different cast). I think you guys would need another guy, a guy like Ramiro Mendoza in his prime, somebody that could fill multiple bullpen roles and is reliable. Hell, we(Yankees) need that too!.
  13. wow...this trade, which looked to benefit us, might actually benefit you guys I just hope that if the Mets get baez and huff that they dont spin them both off onto you, I hope that we keep Baez.
  14. I think Pedroia spent most of the season in Pawtucket while Hanley spent most of the season in Portland, I think.
  15. probably not....but I hope so
  16. yes, I think he will do good. He managed the Norwich Navigators in 2002 (at that time they were still a Yankees affiliate) to an Eastern League title, so it seems like he can work pretty well with young guys.
  17. pretty much, this is a very argueable choice but he definately does deserve it, although I wish Mo would have won it. wow, that is pretty amazing, considering the year Randy had overall I would have never thought his stats compared to the Cy Young WInner's like that. Santana had a great year and one of the BEST second halves in HISTORY...but if I recall correctly, his first half wasnt all that great, and the award is based not on one half alone, but the entire season...though I could nto argue with a Santana selection, as he is also very deserving of it as well.
  18. I remember that game, didnt they keep Manny out of the lineup in case he got traded during the game or something...or was this the game that he asked for the night off??
  19. wow, way to go Ugi, lets go out and try to kill people today. I was SHOCKED when I read this, I wonder how this will effect his career.
  20. yea tell me about it ...I've been meaning to post in this thread since the trade went down but havent gotten around to it..until now ...I dont understand why the Nats did this, Vinny was a big fan favorite last year and was practically the heart of the team. He had a pretty solid year. And not to mention, Brian Lawerence isnt even that good.
  21. man, I would definately take this guy in a heartbeat if I am EITHER NY team. The talent speaks for itself and if you put him on a team coached by Tom Caughlin, i dont think there will be too many problems, same with Herm Edwards, who is a fantastic motivator and will somehow work a miracle and make TO the ultimate motivational team player lol ...but seriously, I think it is worth a shot.
  22. I have no problem with Howard winning but I think that Cano should have won it for the AL. Yes, I am probably being somewhat biased considering I am a Yankee fan, but I think I would feel the same even if I was a ROyals fan or a Rockies fan or an Angels fab, but whatever, Street definately deserves it.
  23. Ryan Howard of the Phillies has been named the National League's Rookie of the Year, beating out both Willie Taveras of the Astros and Jeff Francouer of the Braves. Huston Street pf the Athletics has been named the American League's Rookie of the Year, beating out both Robinson Cano of the Yankees and Johnny Gomes of the Devil Rays. I didnt post a link because my computer is giving me a hard time, so if you feel the need for a link feel free to post one.
  24. we almost overtook the Chargers....but we didnt Good game though But a rough day for my teams, as the Knicks lose by 1 after staging a pretty impressive comeback, and then the Jets play hard but dont come through. Oh well.
  25. He said he wants to manage Single A Tampa, he has a home in Tampa and it appears that the Yanks have offered him the Tampa Yankees job.
