  1. Good point. However we dont know if he's pissed, he switches so much it gets hard toi keep up. He's mad for some reason, then he gets happy when he learns we intend to pick it up, then he's mad again because he thinks they were dicking him, and then he's happy after a chat...he needs to just make up his mind already. God knows what he'll get mad at next.
  2. Right, I agree. However that is off-the field. You cant deny that when Sheffield is on the field he's a gamer. Always ready and giving better than his best. You can see it in the man's eyes for crying out loud!
  3. Man you are such an idiot. It is possible that a man can mature in all those years. Because he did that in Milwaukee, years ago, because he wanted to be traded (no excuse) you are going to say he's not a gamer? Sheffield is out there everyday giving 137% He played the 2004 Season with ONE Good Shoulder. He is practically the heart of our offense and you are going to say he's not a gamer? Crunch time, I'm gonna call on Sheffield as one of the guys I want up there.
  4. Especially upstate. Its like Connecticut, territory of both teams. Anyways, welcome.
  5. lol i was thinking that myself.
  6. But theyre still relatively young men in great shape. Is it too much to ask them to limit injuries this year?
  7. This is ridiculous. I dont know if I can handle another year of constant injuries.
  8. If they keep him in Tampa for two weeks they might as well put him on the DL and carry an extra position player for that time.
  9. I guess thats ok
  10. It was Jairo Garcia. His real name is Santiago Casilla and he is two years and 10 months older than he was listed.
  11. It obviously still goes on though. They cant catch every player. Sometime this winter an Oakland minor leaguer/reliever (I dont remember who, Jairo Garcia or Kiko Calero come to mind but not sure if it was either of them) was found out to have been playing under a false age AND name.
  12. I dont think he gets to Torre. He probably has a heart attack right on the spot. And if not, Joey T is outta there QUICK. I bet he runs out into the streets, still in uniform and hops in a cab before Steinbrenner gets to him. Yankees in 06
  13. If I was to be guaranteed that the Yankees would win 3 of the next 5 Word Series, I would gladly give up my left nut. Or my right one if they prefer. I would give up my both nuts for 40 of the next 50.
  14. What was the name of the program? Id like to catch it.
  15. Hopefully they are as good as Mark Messier's were.
  16. I dont ever remember him guaranteeing it, but he has certainly said "we are capable" or "we have a great chance" and things of that nature. But I dont remember him ever saying what he said this year.
  17. Yea, I fell in love with Dotel when he was in Houston and am expecting big things from him. The sooner the better. And if he doesnt have a good year, no biggie, we didnt put much money or time into him. GREAT signing in my opinion, with what he can provide. And if he doesnt contribute anything its no biggie.
  18. I dont take any of that Sheff stuff seriously, he just needs to grab some attention from time to time. When the season starts and he is out on the field he will be fine. Man's a gamer.
  19. I agree, other than that it was a good comparrison.
  20. I only saw the bottom of your post, and I didnt even realize it was a post by you (lol), until I went back to look at the post with the stats you were talking about.
  21. I must admit, that picture SERIOUSLY hurts.
  22. I've never had a problem admitting when a Red Sock, or anyone else for that matter was better than a Yankee. And where is the relevance of your statement that i "blow every yankee prospect"? I dont quite see how that fits in. I didnt even notice your post.
  23. I'm not counting out Papelbon. My personal opinion of him is that he will be a great starter throughout his career. But we dont know that for sure. And I didnt say he wasnt proven in pressure spots, I said he wasnt proven as a starter (Well I actually I think I said he wasnt proven, but was reffering to the starters role). To be fair I had to take his inexperience into consideration. I think my comparisons are more than fair.
  24. If you read my post, you will see that I dont think so, but many others do.
  25. Thats fair. But what earth does he fall back to? The Elevated earth of Denver, where he was Bad/Decent or the sea level New York city where he excelled?
