I have to believe when Red Sox management got Mike Lowell, they did it with eyes wide open. His offensive potential is what got him to Fenway.

What about the press that votes players into the hall, and the relationship that Jim Rice has with them. The press has no love for Jim Rice and the members of the press that covered The Red Sox during Rice's playing days should recuse themselves from the vote. Then maybe Jim Rice will get a FAIR vote.

Could the nickname Juan "GONE" be any more appropriate?
