I honestly dont think it's intentional. However, if it is, and if he pulls this s*** during the regular season...f*** HIM! I've always been one of his biggest supporters, despite whatever controversary he was caught up in. But if he pulls that during the season, trade his ass for some good prospects and let Bubba Crosby platoon with Kevin Thompson, Melky Cabrera, or Kevin Reese.

Um..me. Not so much the Korea part until the tournament started, but Cuba and Japan were teams I predicted making it to the final 4 prior to the start of the tourney. Cuba is a baseball powerhouse, and always has been. They just never got the recognition because most baseball fans dont follow outside of the Majors. I like to follow the Minors, NPB, and International play as well. Good to see that Cuba will finally be getting some recognition. Hopefully, everyone defects! ...especially Gourriel (sp)

I would be upset with RIvera, but I couldnt HATE him for everything he's done for us. I'd dislike him while he was on the Sox, but when he retired/went to another team I would love him again. But I would never have to worry about that, Mo isnt going anywhere. Too much loyalty.

Right, I agree. But George isnt going to see it that way. The injury occured at the WBC, and that's what George'll focus on. I cant wait

I think the green tarp thing is the dumbest idea ever. I mean, what sense does it make? I remember hearing about it at the end of last year and I just shook my head..I dont get it. As for the new stadium..very very nice. I remember an older plan (this might be it, just with a few changes) that included having a hotel overlooking center field. I liked that Stadium A LOT. It was featured in the All Star Baseball video game series, just in case you want to check it out in the Stadium Tours feature. -
Right, but I remember during the telecast Selig saying that hopefully they could get some MLB umps in there for 09. Meaning that these guys arent MLB umps. But thanks for the help man.

Yea really. Whats the deal with the WBC umpires? I know they arent MLB umps, but what are they? Anybody know, or know where I can get some info on this? Well, before the whole thing started my prediction for the final 4 was the 4 powerhouses; Japan, USA, Cuba, and the DR. Looks like I went 3-4 in this one. Though, when the tournament started and I saw a few games my pick went to Korea, and now that they have officially advanced I can officially say the're my pick (couldnt say that before due to conflict with my Final 4 pick). So mark my words, either Korea or Cuba. Although i'll be pulling for Japan. Also, did anybody notice when Buck put Johnny into pinch run in the 9th, that he did it for A-ROD! A-Rod is a guy who doesnt lack in the speed department. Not that it mattered in the end, but it would have made a LOT more sense to pinch run Johnny for Chipper Jones and not Rodriguez. Just something I had to get off my chest. ..ok so... USA 09!! (or Italia )

Yanks lost BOTH games today. I was fliiping between YES and FSN Detroit, and found the one against Detroit to be more entertaining, just due to theplayers that were there. Also, anybody know who #89 is that was coaching first base for the Yanks in Tampa while Tony Pena, and most of the other coaches were in Lakeland?

I did mine. I REALLY think Albany is going to beat UConn, but I didnt put that in my bracket, playing it safe. But I think if Albany wins I should get $200 on thr spot. I've been calling this all week.

Good article. I read it the other day after hearing of it on SportsCenter that morning. According to Harold Reynolds, he called Griffey though, and Griffey said that the conversation never took place. Not that that means anything. -
You booed Embree? I was on my feet cheering him. I always like to give new guys a chance. And yea, I vividly remember the Chacon thing, and then the entire Stadium giving him a huge hand afterwards. That was the first game I ever brought my 12 year old sister too and she didnt understand why I was up cheering so much (Embree, Chacon, etc) Good win today. Especially after yesterdays loss to the Cardinals. I wanted to smack whoever hit into the double play (I surprisingly dont remember who it was), and then smack Ben Davis after he ended the game I wish I was able to see Pettitte pitch, but with school and all it was kinda hard Hopefully i'm not busy tomorrow and can catch the end of the game on YES. Yankees/Astros again, this time in Tampa. (I love how YES is showing all 15 ST home games, plus the road game against the Phillies )
