  1. I dont try to copy anybody's stance. However if you were to compare mine to anybodys I guess you could say a McGwire, A-Rod (except I hold my elbows a little lower), Bernie Williams sort of thing. Just a good, mechanically correct stance. However, due to s***** knees I no longer play competitive baseball. But damn, I miss hitting. Also, I have the quickest batspeed i've ever seen ..really.
  2. Wow. Sad. Very sad. He's done a great job wit the kids down there the llast few seasons. Dont know much about the man, but i'm sure he was a good guy. He'll be missed by Yankee fans and the Yankee organization.
  3. Did he really say that? This is great news. Good to hear he doesnt hate us like we though last year, and that he still has some loyalty. What show was this on, like a pre or post game or something? I'll have to tune into NESN in hopes of catching the interview. He definately hasnt been "I love the yanks" at all since going there. This si the first pro-Yankee thing i'm hearing of from David Wells. And I dont remember any trash talking Tito in the offseason. I must have missed it. What happened? He was mad because we booed him last year at the Stadium "Cleveland-style". ..just for the record, I wouldnt have booed him. I was EXTREMELY PISSED when he signed in Boston, but I love Boom too much to boo him.
  4. The Mets would NEVER trade Milledge, Diaz, AND Pelfry for Manny. Omar would need to get a little bit more in return. That would NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER happen in a million years.
  5. Thanks for telling me that Mr. Beane. ..nah, im just playing. You're probably right. But with Beane's knoweldge I can see him possibly trying to make a deal for some other Yankee prospects with Hughes not included. Maybe Clippard, that kid who hit good in Staten Island last year (name escapes me at the moment), Sean Henn, Kevin Reese, etc. I dont think a deal like that is completely out of the realm of possibility. It's giving up a lot, but i'd rather do that than give up Hughes. But yeah, if Cashman was faced with No Hughes, No Deal, than he would opt for option B. No Deal.
  6. Villone's been pretty good this year so far, I dont think we send him down. WHen either Small/Pavano/Dotel comes back Matt Smith will be the first to go, then after that we'll go from there. Proctor would likely be next because he has options, but with the way he is pitching I would gladly cut ties with anybody else. Maybe we can find somebody to unload Wright's contract on for nothing more than a Low A backup catcher or something. As for Zito, I would love to have him, as would Cashman, i'm sure. But Cashman wouldnt trade for Zito if it meant giving up Hughes. He'd have to try and find another way, and if Beane isnt going for it, we would just be content not getting him. Only way I can see Hughes being involved in a Zito trade is if at 3:30 p.m. on July 31st Boston and Oakland has a deal arranged, George steps in and says "f*** those Beaneaters, Billy. Take whoever you want." And nah, Hunter's not getting traded during the season. If we were to get him it would be as a Free Agent in the offseason. The Twins would rather keep him all year, try to make the playoffs, and then part ways with him in exchange for a first round pick than trade him for some prospects and make the fans think they're giving up.
  7. Hughes has been absolutely amazing this year. I wouldnt be SHOCKED (although it is unlikely) to see him in Columbus by year's end. God knows they might need him if we take all of their pitchers for the big club like last year.
  8. He was pretty good for us in '04 though. I'm not looking at stats or anything, but he did a good job, and thats why he's earned Joe's trust. As for Pena, his choices were the Red Sox, Dodgers, Yankees, and Chiba Lotte Marines. All of whom persued him. He just decided to sign here as for Colome, he has great stuff and hopefully, since he's still young, he can get help down on the farm. Billy Connors should help him out, and then when he gets up to AAA Neil Allen should be a big help as well. This is the signing i'm most excited about. Kid has AMAZING stuff and potential. Looking forward to seeing him in the Bronx in a year or two, hopefully. If he was cheating he would be caught and suspended for 50 games. That has yet to happen to the best of my knowledge. When it does, i'll hapily call him a cheater along with you. He has cheatED (past tense), he is not a cheater currently. Right, I agree. Damon's speed os better suited for Yankee Stadium's left field than MAtsui's is, and MAtsui has a better arm.
  9. I tried to return your PM, but your inbox is full. Clear it out and i'll be able to help ya out.
  10. lmao  (even though you're making fun of our guys, how could somebody resist laughing at that)
  11. Yeah, his dirty sanchez mustache is so disgusting.
  12. I got them all. Weird. Not looking good. This blows. ..but hey, for you Red Sox fans, this is an example of how you can get off to a very good start and then blow it. So I think maybe your thoughts of Curt Schilling being invincible should be carefully reconsidered. Yes, he got off to a great start but dont bet the house on him yet, as we saw tonight with Randy.
  13. No it makes him somebody who was treated like s*** by his original employer, left (understandable) went someplace, asked for a transfer, retired, and decided to work close to home. Not a big deal.
  14. Maybe i'll get one soon. He's just made three new user names, one being "26TO6_f***S_JSINGER" or something like that.
  15. I, of coarse, as always was left out this time. I have an empty inbox all ready to be filled with Clay's garbage and he doesnt leave me any. Gets depressing
  16. I'm not positive, but I believe this is the same concept that's been out there for a couple of years now for their new ballpark. It was in ASB 03, 04, and 05. Looked good. And by these pictures, it looks GREAT imo. From looking at the ariel view, I like the surroundings (I think the surrounding area of a ballpark determines a lot about it. It's charm, etc), I like the view beyond the outfield wallk, and I absolutely LOVE the concoarses. Open view, no walls blocking the view of the field. You can practically be taking a piss and still be able to watch the game. I like the concoarses VERY much. I also like the exterior surface. The sand/tan colored bricks look very nice. The fact that there is no retractable roof doesnt concern me very much, the snow will just add to the charm and whatnot. It'll suck to be stuck watching a game in, but hey, if some fans have a problem with it they dont have to go to any games the first week or so. I dont forsee it being a big problem. I really like this stadium, appearantly more than some of you guys, which is cool. However, it just looks like avery charming place to watch a game.
  17. Good point. Tomorrow will determine. However with the date being April 16th, it's still way too ear;y for me to label an offseason trade good or bad yet.
  18. He did provide a counter point. However, he also bitched in addition to providing that conter point. Kill two birds with one stone.
  19. yeah lol, thanks. Thats what happend. I had already clicked the quick reply button and checked the quote box and written that response, and then went back up and saw empires post and read that and then I accidentiall, not even paying attention, clicked the quick reply button again, with the box already checked, rather than scrolling down to get to the box. Sorry guys.
  20. Come on man, we all know it was just reaction. He didnt seriously intend to throw the bat at him. lol cmon Zach, not your Roger stories again, you're gonna get me REAL jealous. But the year before that he was the most underpaid player in the game.
  21. I think he's somehwhat comparable to Andy Petitte. Doesnt throw hard, but knows how to pitch and use his weapons. And both came up through the Yankee system You are aware that the right half of your Pedro's uniform is completely f***ed up, right? I'm sure you could have found a better doctored pic of Pedro in pinstripes.
  22. Yeah, but injury history factors into performance. Look at last year. I could have gone out and done a better job than Schilling...and i'm not even a pitcher.
  23. It's a shame Wang was hurt so much during his minor league career, Could have made it upp sooner and could possibly be a top pitcher by now. Shoulder, right?
  24. You're joking, right? It's April 16th folks. A rough first two weeks doesnt mean much in the long run. Ichiro is a solid player, and IMO the best offensive weapon in the game, and possibly the best all around player in the game.
  25. This was NOT his first good start of the year. It was his first great start of the year. But he had been pretty good up to this point. I agree. As maybe is the case with Schiling and Beckett?
