For all you Kay haters out there who always wrongfully call him a homer, he sounded just as,maybe even more, enthusiastic and energetic when Mauer crossed the plate as when the Yanks took the lead.

Gardenhire is a very good manager, IMO. One of my favorites. Michael Kay said something yesterday that I found very interesting. Last year was the first year that Gardenhire, at any level whether it be Minors or Majors, finished below first. That's saying something.

We have signed not one, but TWO guys that I really like to minor league deals. As I posted in the rumor thread a few days back, the Yankees were interested and expected to sign Carlos Pena, and we have. In addition to Pena, we have also signed former Tampa Bay flamethrowing reliever, Jesus Colome. ..and honestly, i'm not gonna lie, but I wasnt even aware they had gotten rid of Colome. Both will be sent to Tampa for a few games before joining the Clippers.

If he didnt care about winning and only cared about the Money he would go to whatever team offered him the most money. Whether it be the Yankees, the Angels, or the Yomiuri Giants. He wants to win. But he also wants to relax and spend time with his younger kids. One way he can do both is delay his season debut and wait until June/July to see what team he feels gives him the best opprotunity to win. I have no problem with what he's doing.

He didnt sitck us in the back. He went home. Something he was going to do anyway, he just decided he would play some ball in his backyard with his best friend. I have no problem with what he did by going to the Astros, none whatsoever. It gave me another team to root for for two years (and of coarse i'll be pulling for them this year, but only every fifth day for Pettitte, unless ROger goes back there. Otherwise I dont really care about the Astros). If he decided to go back to Boston, THAT would be sticking us in the back, and that would piss me off.

Offseason as a Free Agent. EDIT: ...and yes, Cano is getting much better. He's still a work in progress, defensively. But all the work that he's done with Bowa is starting to show.

MOMENTUM!!!!! If the right call had been made, it would have been tied and then who knows where the momentum and adrenaline take us. The fcat that we were down late drained us emotionally and then we gave up the other runs. I know its not a great excuse, but its a fact of life. Na, we've gotten on the umps a few times this year. We just havent blamed a loss on them or something, we simply stated our frustrations when a bad call was made. Nothing huge.

We dont blame the losses on the umps. But when an ump makes a bad call we're of coarse gonna call them out on it, as anyone would.
