  1. My post was hypothetical. I do not believe that if he didn't hit home runs he would of been a terrible hitter.
  2. Maybe the guy looks at like this: His OBP is directly related to him hitting so many home runs.If he didn't hit home runs his on base percentage would be a lot lower from not getting walked as much out of fear, making him somoene with a .263 AVg and maybe like a .330 OBP. Also, lol at everyone using AVG here when all the time people say its a useless stat with no meaning and it's outdated, etc.
  3. meh, beauty is subjective. Steve Phillpis is a moron to get himself involved in this to begin with, regardless. The dude overall is a moron
  4. I was going to say this. A lot of the coaches out there now didn't have good careers but are coaches just fine. Knowledge and talent are not the same thing.
  5. It's JUST the internet. Calm down.
  6. I hope the whole yankees team goes to hell. CC should eat himself to death, Pettite should go back to Louisiana and get hit by a hurricane, A-Rod and Jeter should move to Provincetown and get married and die together, Texiera should get beat by his wife and Joba OD on meth.
  7. Last part of that post was sarcasm, a joke, hence the emoticon. "If you freely admit to placing more significane on the smaller sample size, I think we're done here." Go ahead.
  8. I wouldn't use the word clutch for that. I am merely just saying that against teams they needed to beat, they failed. It's not entirely the offense's fault, but down the stretch it seemed they were losing close games to good teams they needed to beat.
  9. What? Oh well, this team got on base a lot and the offense "kept moving" and in the end that is just as good as a ring or even a playoff victory.
  10. This. He seems to go through many slumps, a few prolonged
  11. Good. As long as I've been watching baseball I've hated him. That double chinned jackass.
  12. Oh alright. Thanks.
  13. So it was last year he pitched with an injury?
  14. I thought this topic was going to be about J.D Drew:lol: Didn't Josh Beckett pitch part of the 2007 playoffs with an injury or something, and did fine?
  15. Goddamnit, f*** the twins
  16. I don't. I hate the twins
  17. This is what I always thought they should do. This 1 game playoff is pointless.
  18. Boy I sure miss the days of baseball when it was fun and you looked at things at face value instead of through crazy equations and statistics. You people have turned this from a sport to a damn school subject.
  19. Nine J.D Drews would produce approximately 1093.76 injuries over the course of a 162 game season.
  20. This is a stupid arguement.
  21. Whats wrong with starting Buchholz game 3? So what if he had 2 bad sarts. Derek Lowe sucked all of 2004 and then ended up winning all the series clinching games in the playoffs. Regular season don't mean much now.
  22. I wonder how long they'll let Beckett go.
