  1. And it's tied. Day off tomorrow, and then Lee (and his perfect postseason record) vs. Pettitte.
  2. Phillies in five. And here's my bold prediction... The Giants don't break double digit runs in the series.
  3. I don't understand why they would go to Logan here. Joe has to know they're going to pinch hit for Murphy, and then Logan has to face a righty. Should have just stuck with Robertson.
  4. And Cano gives Ogando a strikeout.
  5. Tough play for Andrus, although he probably should have given way to Murphy.
  6. Yeah, I agree with this.
  7. What sucks is if Joe didn't make the mistake of leaving in Hughes, they would only be staring at a three run deficit.
  8. We've really seen Cano mature a tremendous amount over the last couple years. Two or three years ago, his demeanor would be completely different after that HR. Now he just seems to be all about the team.
  9. Cano is unbelievable.
  10. Well there's your awful pitch selection Jacko. 1-2 count, and they call for something in the strike zone (especially considering what his slider is like today)...
  11. Absolutely, huge mistake. High School catchers make the right decision in that spot...
  12. Three strikeouts in the first inning, all on fastballs. No strikeouts since, and seven two strike hits. That first inning killed him.
  13. I freaking hate Joe.
  14. I think Hughes might have gassed himself in the first inning, which isn’t uncommon for a young starting pitcher. He was really throwing his FB well in the first, touching 95 when he was in trouble. But it hasn’t been the same in the last couple innings, and that could probably be traced back to the first. It’s probably much easier to pace yourself in a regular season game, when there’s much less on the line. But once Hughes got in trouble in the first, he really seemed to let it loose, and it may have been what cost him here.
  15. He crushed it...
  16. Please no more Hughes next inning.
