The sample size is just too small to be considered relevant. And Andy hasn't pitched at Texas since 2008. Here's an example. Player A is clearly better than Player B. Player A is 0-10 lifetime against the opposing starting pitcher. Player B is 8-10 lifetime against the opposing starting pitcher, with all of those hits coming in previous years. Who would you start?

So the Yankees were right to base a decision on a 15.1 IP sample size (with only one of those innings coming this year)? Wait, are you Joe Girardi? Starting your best pitchers the most times outweighs any other argument, and Pettitte is better than Hughes.

Well that was a horrendous game to be at. I'd just like to know where they would be in this series if Joe hadn't swapped Pettitte and Hughes, and if he hadn't tried to squeeze extras outs out of AJ Burnett. But it's more than that, Texas has been the much better team this entire series. Now CC stands between the Yankees and elimination.

Well Burnett is who should start tomorrow. They need to win the next two games, and their best chance to do that is to start Burnett vs. Hunter and CC vs. Wilson.
