  1. It's interesting how similar CC and Liriano are. They have the exact same repertoire, and their approach is extremely similar.
  2. You would think they would have their signs straight at this point. Can't afford a cross-up there.
  3. Ah OK. Cause if you were willing to extend that to the last fifteen or twenty years, then you would have to consider Pedro, Maddux, and Randy Johnson. I wouldn't place Roy ahead of any of those three.
  4. Hmm. What specific time period are you referring to?
  5. Well that was impressive.
  6. Typical Daily News garbage. This will be a very difficult series, and could go either way.
  7. Yeah, there's a negligible difference between the very best of a certain pitch. I just don't remember being this impressed with a two seam fastball in a long time.
  8. I'm not sure I've seen a better two seam fastball than Halladay's. At times it has changeup like action.
  9. Hahaha, A-Rod says some crazy things. I know what he means, because many of the pundits have discussed the Yankees' weaknesses ad nauseam. However, this is silly.
  10. But I thought postseason experience was the end all be all?!?!
  11. And we have lineups. Jeter SS Swisher RF Teixeira 1B Rodriguez 3B Cano 2B Thames DH Posada C Granderson CF Gardner LF Span CF Hudson 2B Mauer C Young LF Thome DH Cuddyer 1B Kubel RF Valencia 3B Hardy SS
  12. Well this game is over. Cliff Lee is just too good. Now the Rays give the ball to James Shields in hopes of avoiding an 0-2 deficit heading back to Texas.
  13. Thanks YH. Defense was my priority, and, as you alluded to, I expect to be able to get really good value picks for my offense in the later rounds.
  14. Lowe started game 4, but didn't get the win.
  15. Sucked as a Yankees' fan, but it was a good documentary about a likable team.
  16. River Avenue Blues thinks Golson has made it over Nunez. If that's the case, then the position players are... Posada Cervelli Teixeira Cano Jeter Rodriguez Pena Swisher Granderson Gardner Kearns Golson Berkman Thames
  17. OK, more roster news. The pitchers are: Sabathia Pettitte Hughes Rivera Wood Chamberlain Robertson Logan Burnett Moseley Mitre That means no Gaudin, Nova, and Ring. Even though they're facing the lefty heavy Twins, Joe has decided against the second lefty. As for position players, Greg Golson is on the roster. Basically Joe had to choose two out of these three - Golson, Pena, and Nunez - so now we know one of them.
  18. With four series needing to be played, MLB really has no choice. Since the beginning of the division series, games have always been played during the day.
  19. In case anyone cares, here are the umpires for the series... Jerry Crawford Hunter Wendelstedt Greg Gibson Brian O'Nora Gary Darling Chris Guccione
