  1. Well it doesn't matter whether or not Craig was inside the chalk. Baseline is a straight line from wherever the runner starts to the next base -- so WMB claiming that he wasn't in the baseline isn't really true.
  2. UN? is going down a different road here, which is interesting. After much research I think WMB did interfere with Craig. UN?'s question is, did Craig interfere with WMB first.
  3. Damn I'm sorry fellas. Right call or wrong call, that really, really sucks.
  4. I agree with the folks that said Koji should've been brought in to face Descalso. Tying and go ahead run on base in the seventh inning is as high leverage as it gets, so why not use your best reliever? And it makes even more sense you when consider that he'll get to face Beltran and Holliday in the eighth. Then turn it over to the Tazawa/Breslow combo in the ninth against the bottom half of the order. At the same time I wouldn't hold this against Farrell, because no manager would make this move -- just not how things are done.
  5. Haha no, not at all. But my Dad likes the Cards, and a World Series G7 is pretty much the only type of game I've never been to. Would be an incredible experience, especially at Fenway.
  6. I got two bleacher seats to G7 the other day for 650 apiece, on Stubhub. Cheapest ones on the site -- pretty crazy.
  7. Guys ... I think he's parodying the whole 'best fans in baseball' shtick. Come on lol. Nobody talks like this.
  8. Haha nicely done, Midwest Manners.
  9. Haha there are one or two of us out there that are alright. But that's probably about it.
  10. Haha thanks buddy. Much appreciated.
  11. Well I have no interest in going to an earlier game. World Series G7 is pretty much the only type of baseball game I've never been to, so if there's a chance that one is played close to NY I'm going to do my best to go.
  12. Just purchased World Series Game 7 tickets at Fenway. So lets go Sox tonight!
  13. I'd sign up for 2/30. They could do so much damage if they just let Cano walk, but it'll never happen. Could completely revamp the team.
  14. Greinke was pretty good the last time he was facing AL hitters in the majority of his starts. And I think you would agree that Kershaw is more than capable. Sure, on the whole the AL is better offensively than the NL. But guys like Kershaw and Greinke and Wainwright are good enough to dominate the very best offenses.
  15. Sure. The larger point is just that I disagree with the notion that the Tigers are far superior to the Cards and Dodgers. I think you can easily make the case that the Cards are a better team, especially if Craig is able to DH the away games, and the Dodgers have a ton of star power both in their lineup and in their rotation. Obviously Hanley's injury hurts them -- but in comparison to the Tigers, that's no different than the situation with Miggy. I'm not trying to make the case that the Sox are going to lose in the World Series, should they get past the Tigers. In fact I would expect them to beat either NL team. I just think it'll be a very tough series -- certainly a tougher series than BTR seemed to be expecting and likely a tougher series than Sox fans have grown accustomed to having in the World Series.
  16. Oh and Koji is just incredible. His split is a top five pitch in all of baseball. I didn't think a reliever could come anywhere close to what Kimbrel did in 2012 but Koji has come close, and that alone is remarkable.
  17. I would say the Dodgers' 1-2 punch at the top of their rotation is every bit as good as the Tigers' 1-2 punch.
  18. There are definitely positives to be taken from this game, from a Red Sox's standpoint. One bad inning when the starting pitcher couldn't throw strikes did them in, but for much of the night the Red Sox's hitters were putting together far better ABs than he had at any previous point in this series. As a matter of fact, I'd say, on the whole, the Sox put together better ABs than the Tigers. It didn't manifest itself onto the scoreboard, but it should bode well for the remainder of the series.
  19. Sox with a chance to win this series without seeing Scherzer and Verlander again. My gut says they do just that. Pretty amazing that they're in this spot given where things stood in the seventh inning of game two. Good luck tonight fellas, enjoy the game.
  20. In a lot of ways these games are very different, but this game reminded me a bit of G5 in 2008 vs the Rays. The Sox just looked absolutely toast ... and then boom. Unbelievable game, unbelievable series through two games.
  21. Enjoy it, guys and gals. The much, much better team won.
  22. It's no big deal, I just don't get it. Heck, I'll never understand the whole "f*** you (player on other team)" thing when he gets out in a big spot. We all just watch the games differently, I guess. And trust me, I'm really emotional during big games lol. Just in a different way.
