  1. Has Drew ever hit leadoff before?
  2. And that's the ball game.
  3. Whether or not A-Rod hits the ball hard doesn't really seem to matter. Everything is finding holes.
  4. It'll be Pettitte in the seventh, after a long layoff.
  5. Yanks starting to put this one out of reach, only question now will be if Pettitte comes out for the eighth. As for the Tigers game...Bill Hall the Brewers centerfielder just made one of the best plays you'll see to save the game for now. First and second, none out, Brewers up 5-3 in the eighth. Ordonez hits one into right-center, Hall races back and to his left, dives, and makes a spectacular catch. EDIT: And the Tigers get nothing in the seventh.
  6. The D-Backs continue to hang around... EDIT: No matter to Andy...another 1-2-3 inning.
  7. Jeter will probably be bunting here. EDIT: He does and it's successful. Now it's time to put the dagger in this sweep. EDIT: Looked safe...
  8. Bottom of the order has not been helping out today.
  9. Got a break there.
  10. Considering he has to go through the heart of the order next inning, he might be done after five, or six at the most.
  11. Yeah, I agree. What I was kind of trying to say is that he's not going to go out there and "wow" you, but he almost always gets the job done.
  12. Nothing out of the ordinary.
  13. I missed the top of the first. He seemed to struggle in the second, but he's been relatively sharp in the third and fourth innings. To me, Pettitte never seems to have great stuff, but he never seems to give up a lot either.
  14. Man, Cano does not hit during the day. Could be just a coincidence though.
  15. lol at Scott Hairston. That Rodriguez guy is really good. They gave him an RBI, so that's 68. Ugh...another poor AB for Posada from the right side, although I can't really get mad at him.
  16. In my opinion Phelps does not do enough offensively to make up for his poor defense. He butchered a rather simple play right there.
  17. Whether he settles down or not, I think we're going to be seeing the D-Backs middle relief quite soon. EDIT: Ugh...Jeter swinging at a first pitch curveball that was well below the knees really hurt this inning in my opinion.
  18. Arroyo's WHIP this year is 1.51. At this point he is either being hit all over the ballpark, or he is getting rather lucky. That trend may not continue, but, as of now, he is not very good.
  19. I believe that his next start is in Colorado so that might have the setup for a poor outing, but we'll see. As for the game, not too much went wrong tonight. Moose was solid. The offense showed some power tonight. Bruney looked pretty good, and Torre probably had a quick hook with him. The Yanks are over .500 for the first time since they were 8-7 and in the middle of getting swept in Boston.
  20. Yeah, the way I look at it is this...you expect Moose and Clemens to give you six innings, but if they can go past that then it's really a bonus.
